It's okay, but I wish I had gotten the other one.

research products before buying, willing to pay for quality, energy conscious, expects basic functions, homeowner

Pros

Upper rack has place for wine glasses, Bottom rack has adjustable sets of tines, removable silverware rack, relatively quiet, Energy Star rated, delay start

Cons

Must run long cycle to clean dishes well, the self-cleaning filter isn't, sometimes dish powder doesn't dissolve, long run time, gunk always sticks to knives

This dishwasher is a disappointment. I originally wanted to purchase a lesser model (turn knob), but due to a delivery/install mistake I received this dishwasher instead. I worked out an agreement with the store that performed the install and kept this dishwasher.

In order to keep dishes clean, I must add rinse agent often as well as clean the "self-cleaning" filter. In addition, 9 times out of 10 the knives I run must be hand washed--gunk sticks to the regardless of whether I have added rinse agent and cleaned the filter or not.

Overall the dishwasher is okay. It is definitely better than hand-washing (which I did for ten years). However I am looking forward to the day (about eight years from now) when I can justifiably replace it.
