Over the years, I have had many brands of air conditioners, and this Frigidaire Energy Star is unquestionably one of the very best. I have used it for almost 4 years now and it works just as good today, as the day I bought it. I am impressed with the features such as the ultra quiet energy saver mode and the power interrupter cord that is standard on it. The sleep timer is a very useful feature that helps keep it from freezing up if the temperature outside drops too low. The only bad features are the remote is kind of bulky and the vents do not adjust well. The filter housing tends to be a bit of a pain when you disconnect the plate to clean it with the filter. But, it is a s,all price to pay for a reasonably priced, high quality item like this. So, if you want to get a standard btu one room air conditioner that you will get more than your monys worth from, the I recommend the Frigidaire Energy Star model.  You won't be disappointed in my humble opinion.
