It's okay, but I wish I had gotten the other one.

This dishwasher is a disappointment. I originally wanted to purchase a lesser model (turn knob), but due to a delivery/install mistake I received this dishwasher instead. I worked out an agreement with the store that performed the install and kept this dishwasher.

In order to keep dishes clean, I must add rinse agent often as well as clean the "self-cleaning" filter. In addition, 9 times out of 10 the knives I run must be hand washed--gunk sticks to the regardless of whether I have added rinse agent and cleaned the filter or not.

We have owned our Frigidaire built in dishwasher for all of three years now and it started falling apart within the first year that we had it. It started with a door handle that broke off in our hands. We were so busy with our lives at the time, that I didn't follow through with the warranty. I guess we figured we could deal with a broken handle as we could still open it up, it was just not as easy. Then it started smoking and we found out that the rotating piece in the bottom came loose and tilts over onto the heaters. Very dangerous! It could catch on fire! Not so quiet

It's a good dishwasher that gets dishes mostly clean. It's mostly quiet. And mostlygood. Do you see a pattern here? Although I love having a dishwasher, I would not invest your money in this one. The pros are the removable silverware caddy which makes it's very handy for children to carry and put away. Another con is that tall travel mugs do not fit on the top shelf. This is especially frustrating when the cup directions specifically state that it must be placed on the top shelf. The filter in the bottom of the dishwasher also gets clogged fairly regularly and it's a pain to clean... read full review »
