We bought a brand new house. We had an allowance to purchase our oven and refrigerator but the dishwasher was already installed. I was told then that is was of decent quality, sturdy and I would be happy with it. Wrong! It doesn't clean my dishes properly whether it's half full or packed. The food that is left on the dishes after the cycle is done is worse then baked on food. I have to let it soak in the sink for a few hours. When I start the dishwasher I have to slam the door shut, sometimes multiple times, before it realizes the door is closed. I went through several different soaps before finding one that it likes. Otherwise the soap door would stay closed, not releasing the soap into the washer... gross. Overall, the worse dishwasher I have ever owned. I wish I was allowed to purchase one of my choosing way back when. Now I'm just waiting for this thing to completely break on it's own. I'm sure it will be soon. Noise Level It's ridiculously noisy. If we are in the living room watching television or on the phone it is difficult to hear with this dishwasher running in the back ground. I typically run it as I'm leaving the house in the morning or right as we are getting ready for bed. Cleaning Time It takes about 3 hours to go through all the cycles and drying time. Loading Flexibility If i want to add dishes besides plates or bowls on the bottom rack it takes up so much room. It's easier if I hand wash that bulky or awkward item then to take away space from the plates and bowls. Performance It doesn't do a superb job of cleaning some of the tougher foods on the silverware, plates or bowls. It leaves a weird film on my glass drinking glasses. Design It's okay. Durability It's survived 7 years... unfortunately.

This dishwasher gets the job done. It doesn't have any major defects, just the same annoyances that I experience with every other dishwasher I've encountered: PROS: It has enough space to fit dishes for a family of 10 for almost and entire day! If you are good at "packing" dishes then you would be able to pack a lot in this machine. This has a great deal of flexibility. You can pop some racks down and some racks up. It has a cup/lid holder section on the top rack. (This is also a con when it is not needed.) The buttons are easy to understand and turning the machine on is quite simple and painless. The overall appearance of the machine is simple and sleek. CONS: I really "feel" like this machine takes a long time. I don't know if it is the settings I use or if it simply takes a long time. I will do naptime with the kids and the machine will still be running when I return. It never fails that there are some wet dishes remaining after a hot dry cycle. After about a year of use there is build up beginning on our glasses. (We do use the rinse agent.) A tablet dishwasher does not dissolve in this machine, which makes a mess. About 1/8th of the top rack is a pot/lid holder. These holders do not hold a glass. This is annoying if you need to FILL the top rack with glasses. The door is not sturdy. Our 5th child sat on the door. It went straight to the floor and is now broken. We put a stool under it to load and unload. If you have a toddler you know that they WILL sit on the door at some point or another. This is the first dishwasher we have had that has actually broken when it was used in this manner.

It's been so long since I had a dishwasher I'd be satisfied with anything! But this one seems to do it's job pretty well. Noise Level It's pretty quiet but you can still hear it working. Cleaning Time It seems to take forever Loading Flexibility It's pretty easy to load dishes for a family of 7. Performance I don't like that I have to rinse my dishes off first but they come out clean when I do.

I have used and owned many dishwashers (including commercial quality) and pound for pound the Frigidaire dishwasher is the best performing for the price. There really is no need to spend allot of money on a "bigger brand" when you can get all you need with a Frigidaire.

I got this as a christmas gift...and I guess my water doesn't agree with it because my dishes always come out with this white spots on it. Also the dry cycle is really loud, I can hear it in my bedroom. :( Wouldn't buy again.

This dishwasher was included when we purchased our house. This is the first dishwasher I've ever had and it does a great job. My dishes are normally pretty "clean" when they go into the dishwasher, because I always use a scrub brush to remove any food debris prior to loading. The only thing I wish was slightly different is the silverware compartment. It seems a tad on the small side to me. I always have to be careful not to overload the silverware or it won't come out very clean. For the most part, this dishwasher does a good job!

We bought our dishwasher, (model# FGBD2431KFO), in Nov. 2009. We had both motors replaced in April of 2010. The unit is making a lot of noise and not cleaning very efficiently. Upon calling the customer service number, you are given an option to speak with a representative, but it never happens. I tried 4 times and was cut off each time. I will NEVER, NEVER ,EVER buy a frigidaire product again!!! We bought this dishwasher after reading all of the reviews on it, and we are not happy. It doesn't seem to clean the dishes very well. We basically have to clean them before we put them in there and that defeats the purpose of the machine. It also never gets all of the soap off of the dishes so I end up rinsing them off and drying them again after they have washed. We have tried cleaning the dishwasher by running it with nothing in it and using a dishwasher cleaning product, but it doesn't seem to have any affect. We ended up replacing the dishwasher after only having it for a little over 2 months. It just wasn't worth the hassle anymore. The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of only 1 is because I am not 100% sure it doesn't have something to do with the fact that we run on well water. Our new machine works much better.

I have lived in three different households and none of them have had new dishwashers. My experience with dishwashers up to this moment has been pretty unimpressive. All of the ones I have used prior to this Frigidaire did a poor job thoroughly cleaning all of the dishes and struggled with drying them as well. Not only that, but they sounded loud when running. When we replaced our last dishwasher with the Frigidaire FGBD2431KW dishwasher, the different was night and day. This dishwasher not only looks amazing, but so far it has cleaned our dishes flawlessly. Drying still isn't perfect, but it is leaps and bounds ahead of our previous ones. The controls are very simple and the design of the compartments inside work very efficiently. For the price, you definitely can't go wrong and I bet you couldn't find a dishwasher that matches the Frigidaire's level of performance. We have a Frigidaire refrigerator as well, and they are solid products that are built extremely well.

I've had this dishwasher for 2 years, and I am already ready for a new one.I bought this dishwasher because of the brand and the cost. It was very affordable which was perfect for a young family like we are. To me, it seems very small and doesn't hold a lot of dishes. I can live with that even if it means washing dishes several times a day. What I absolutely can't live with is the noise that it makes when it is washing and going from one cycle to the next. I can't run this dishwasher when the kids are napping or going to sleep at night as it keeps them awake until it finishes. It doesn't seem to drain well, and even when I rinse all of the dishes before putting them in, there is always stuff stuck on the dishes and in the bottom of the dishwasher. I will spend more next time to get a bigger and better dishwasher.
