I bought this AC for a small 6'x 12' study which adjoins my 10'x16' bedroom--both rooms are on the top floor which bake all day. When I'm in the study, I have to set it at low cool because it gets too cold. It is about as noisy as a Motel-6 wall unit. And produces a nice clilled airstream that cools a 12 x 20 room noticeably in 20 minutes. Easy install simple controls. Great value.On unbearably hot nights, I first cool the bedroom with another AC in that room, then I just use the Frigidaire in the study. The Frigidaire keeps the bedroom comfortable all night without the AC noise being in the same room--which was the reason I hardly used the bedroom AC in the first place. Love this little baby! great product!!!

My boyfriend purchased the Frigidaire FRA256ST2 25000 BTU Thru-Wall/Window Air Conditioner when we moved in together. We happened to  be moving in together during the summertime (not very smart, when you live in Southern California). We could only handle the heat (which got up to 113 degrees that summer). The poor excuse of a window air conditioner that we had was not cutting it. Not at all. So my boyfriend said that Frigidaire was a brand that he trusted and he felt like Frigidaire products are high quality, so I let him kind of splurge more than I would have liked him to on the new window air condition. However, I was definitely not disappointed. If anything, I frequently find myself literally shaking when he has the air conditioner on sometimes. We have our air Frigidaire air condition in the window of our bedroom and it definitely has exceeded our expectations. Now we just wish that perhaps we would have chosen  to put it in the living room instead! If you are going to purchase this, hopefully you are a strong and handy individual. Otherwise, you are probably going to have to have someone else install this for you, because it is pretty hard. It is wise to install it with two people regardless, however, in my opinion because you will probably find yourself needing someone to hold it for you from the outside if installing it in your window.
