When the kids were small our family would often celebrate family member achievements by going to Friendly's for ice cream. They loved the clown cone head sundaes made by placing a scoop of ice cream in a silver dish and adding an upside down cone, trimmed in hot fudge for a hat . The eyes and nose were M&Ms and whipped cream made the foamy hair. Too cute! As the kids grew, so did their choices. A signature dessert of Friendly's and a family favorite is the Wattamelon Roll. A slice of the roll looks like a real slice of watermelon. The rind is made of lemon sherbet sprinkled with green food dust. The flesh is made with watermelon sherbet and chocolate chip "seeds".
