Fresh Step Multi-Cat Formula —

I have used the Arm and Hammer brand cat litter, Yesterday's News, and Fresh Step litter.

Fresh Step Multi-Cat Formula is one of the better brands I have used. I would like to eventually try the World's Best Cat Litter that you can flush down the toilet.

Until then, I think my cats prefer Fresh Step the best. One of my cat is uneasy using the Yesterday's News pellets, but have no problem with Fresh Step.

Fresh step litter do generate a lot of dust in the house, and sends out a plume of dust in your face when you scoop the litter or when you are dumping fresh litter in the bin. My furniture and sheets now smell like Fresh step cat litter because the litter is tracked everywhere by my cats.

I can see the litter particles on my cat's dark fur, and sometimes I worry that he will get sick ingesting all that stuff when he cleans himself.

Other than that, it clumps really well around pee (which is great!).

I used to use Fresh Step but quit because of the dust. There was a gray film on eveything and I didn't like breathing it. I switched to A&H Essentials and like it really well because there is no dust, but the odor control isn't near as good. My husband wants to go back to Fresh Step but I would like to find something like the Essentials with more odor control.
