When I first heard I was getting my first kitten I went kitty shopping. Toys, litter box, toys, cat condo, toys, food, toys and kitty litter that would clump and so my home wouldn't smell like a cat. Love the cat not the smell.
I chose "Fresh Step Scoopable litter with odor-eliminating carbon". I mostly looked for the clumping litter and I smelled the box and I was sold. I bought the smallest box just in case she didn't like it (I was told if the cat jumps in the litter box and right out they don't like their litter).
Miss Scrappy came home for the first time and I showed her where her little box was and the rest of the house...We were lucky because she went right to her litter box every time. My husband and I were sitting in the living room after I was done cleaning her litter box...we heard her digging and digging and about 40 min later my husband asked what the heck she was doing in there. So I went to go check it out to make sure all was ok and the little fuzz ball was just sitting in there playing and having a good time (I guess she loves her litter). She never had a problem and I have always been please when I need to clean it out everyday. Scrappy likes to help or supervise.
I buy the 28 pound container and not only is it a handy container, but we also get "Pawpoints", normally 50 points per container and you can use them towards some nice little gifts. Scrappy has received a kitty first aid kit (I am a first time kitty owner and I like to be prepared for anything) and a blanket so far.
I tell everyone about Fresh Step...a perfect product!
Now Fresh Step kitty litter has two new scents: Mountain Fresh and Lavender
