After washing my hair with Fekkai Technician Color Care Shampoo, I was a little disappointed in how stringy my hair felt. Soft, but a little frizzy. So I was skeptical that Fekkai Technician 3-Minute Mask would help much. To my surprise, the 3-Minute Mask is a much better product than the shampoo.
The soft pink conditioner is soft and velvety with a nice, fresh fragrance. It's not as thick as other deep hair conditioners I've used, but it's not too thin either. I generously applied a decent glob of the conditioner onto my tangled hair and massaged it in well. I stayed in the shower for the required three minutes (to be honest, it may have been more like 5 minutes), and then I rinsed it out.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the conditioner had detangled my hair and left it soft and manageable. I don't use heat on my hair often, so I just towel dried and set my hair on rollers to air dry. When I took the rollers out, my hair looked and felt lovely. The conditioner worked well for me (ethnic hair, relaxed, fine-textured) and it did so without making my hair limp, weighed down, or dull with residue.
The biggest downside to this product is the cost -- $36 is the lowest I found it sold for online. It works well, but I have another deep conditioner that works equally as well without the steep price tag (Smooth N Soft Critical Repair-$4.99- reviewed here).
Overall, Frederic Fekkai Technician Color Care 3-Minute Mask Hair Conditioner is a fabulous product that moisturizes and softens without weighing hair down. If price is no objection for you, I have no objection to recommending it highly.
