My hair is very soft, wavy, and with a tendency to get frizzy as the day goes on. I always apply and comb some kind of straightening balm through my hair before drying it with a round brush and hair dryer. I've tried some of the cheaper products, but apparently I thought I was rich two weeks ago when I grabbed a $19 tube of Frederic Fekkai Straight Away Straightening Blow Dry Balm.
This is a translucent blue gel that isn't sticky or messy in the least. You simply work it through hair with your fingers or a comb and then blow dry as usual. Unfortunately, even after taking a lot of time to carefully dry my hair, it is still pretty wavy and quickly becomes frizzy. I would expect that kind of performance from one of the drug store products I've tried, but not from a 4 ounce tube that cost almost twenty dollars. The few good things that I have to say about Frederic Fekkai's Straight Away are that it does not cause any kind of buildup nor does it weigh down hair.
Despite the fact that it is easy to use, Frederic Fekkai Straight Away just doesn't get the job done. I've gotten much better results from Suave's $2 tube of straightening balm than I have from this stuff. I won't be buying it again and I definitely don't recommend it.
