To the Point
I used my portable iron just yesterday to iron a t-shirt. It’s been with me for years and it’s still going strong. This is the Franzus Wrinkles Away Steam/Dry Travel Iron.
A Closer View
This is a two piece iron. The handle fits around the iron and fits into a velour bag. It costs around $20.00. A new version of mine can be seen and bought at http://shopping.msn.com/results/shp/?text=Franzus%20Travel%20Iron. The new version may not have the bag however.
When I’m ready to use it the handle pulls out and fits right on the iron. The handle comes off easily with the help of a button on the iron.
The iron has a water reservoir so I can steam or not steam.
On the iron is the temperature setting. This 110 to 220 Dual Voltage iron gives me three settings: delicate, permanent press and wool/linen/cotton. Those three settings correspond with low, medium and high settings.
This little iron works. It gets hot, steams, stands up to cool off and fits in a tiny space. The iron is a little more than 6 inches long by 1 ¼ inches high and 2 ½ inches wide. The handle adds less than an inch in width.
The only negative is the knob for the temperature setting's placement. When the handle is on it is hard to get to so I set it before I put on the handle.
I would buy another Franzus with no hesitation.

I like it!
This is a picture of my iron with the handle on it. The picture at the site above doesn't show the handle attached.
