Frank's Red Hot Sauce has a wide range of fans. Even vegetarians check in with love for Frank's hot sauce. Great for buffalo wings, this zippy sauce is also terrific for chili, stews, Mexican favorites or on hot dogs. Consumers love the smooth flavor. Although Frank's packs some heat, the pepper favor does not overpower the natural beauty of the base sauce. Since I can remember I have been spicing up my food in some way. I have tasted about 70 different hot sauces over the years. Everything from a chipotle chile sauce that I bought while in the Bahamas to a tequila habanero sauce I ordered from Mexico. I truly love the combination of heat and flavor… read full review »

Frank's has a splendid line of sauces out there for our consumption. however, this is probably the worst of the bunch for making Wings. The Buffalo Wing Sauce here in question goes on the wings straight, with nothing added. The flavor isn't that bad, but it lacks any kick at all. If you don't like… read full review »

I use Franks Hot Sauce all the time. It makes a great marinade when mixed with buttermilk, and a great basitng sauce when mixed with olive oil and garlic. I know people who have gotten so used to the heat that they use it for a dipping sauce. My favorite is chicken soaked in buttermilk and hot sauce (for a day or so) then grilled to a crispy… read full review »

As a vegetarian I cook a lot of vegetables so I am always looking for ways to add a lot of flavor to dishes without a lot of effort.  This is the perfect hot sauce with just the right amount of spice.  The flavors blend to give you a zesty kick and gradually increase so that you can savor just the right amount of flavor, but not too hot.  This sauce tastes amazing on almost anything.  It comes in a 12 ounce bottle, but you only need a dash for some flavor.  It works well as a meat marinade and dipping sauce.  It's a great blend of cayenne peppers and makes a… read full review »

I use & pre-fer the "Original Franks Hot Sauce"-That can be toned up or toned down as needed...for each person. Not the wing sauce. — Frank's Red Hot has  Been around for over 80 years, created in buffalo New York. — Franks Red Hot "Original" comes in many sizes from the simple table shaker to big bulk bottles. I have a shaker for the table and a big 23 oz. that I bought at sam's in a (twin pack of two 23 bottles for cooking). — I prefer this sauce because of the smooth flavor & taste adds just the right amount of kick.Used plain it will still make… read full review »

We tried this a while ago since my husband likes the Frank's brand of hot sauce.  He’s a bit of a hot sauce connoisseur and has strong opinions when it comes to the differing brands of hot sauce.  Frank’s had hit the right line between taste, spiciness, and the ability to find it at our grocery store. — We’re both fans of hot wings, but not so much the bones in the wings, so I had often made buffalo sauce to coat our chicken in.  It was good, but it does require time and attention.  As a busy working mom, I’m always looking for shortcuts… read full review »

What more can I say?  This is the ONLY brand of sauce that we use in our household.  2-3 times a month, my husband and I have "junk food" night-wings, sticks, skins, etc.  We cook our wings just like on the bottle.  Coat them with flour/paprika/cayenne seasoning, let sit in refrigerator for 60-90 minutes.  Heat deep fryer to 350, add wings and cook for 10-12 minutes depending on your wing size.  We then put on a cookie sheet covered with a paper bag to let the excess grease drain, put in the oven at 250 until all of the wings are done.  While the wings are… read full review »

I like spicy food, but the worst kind of wings are so hot they're painful to eat. Some sauces kill your taste buds even with a small amount. I like Franks because you can control the level of heat with the amount of sauce. One layer before cooking and they're tangy while only slightly spicy. A few more layers during or after cooking and it starts to really heat up. However, the flavor is always present, not just heat. For years I used the original Frank's on my wings so I was glad when they came out with the actual Buffalo sauce- tastes just as great. — —… read full review »

Franks hot sauce has wonderful flavor. Alot of hot suaces are so has you can not even taste the flavor of the sauce, the heat is just too overwhelming. There is not an overpowering flavor of hot sauce, and just the right amount of butter. A small amount of garlic and butter are key to having the perfect hot sauce. It is a bit more expensive, and since it is not too hot, the bottle does not last as long as some other… read full review »

I usually purchase hot sauces from small time sauceries, aka the microbreweries of hot sauce.  I have won more than one chili pepper eating contest.  But when I need a fail-proof, go to, every day hot sauce, I always return to Frank's.  Is it the hottest... No. Is it the most gourmet... Again, no.  But does it compliment anything?  Yes.  Is it always on hand, yes.  'Nuff… read full review »

I love hot sauce and I have Frank's in my fridge but  I just wish they would make a hot sauce without so much vinegar...NOT one of my favorite condiments. I use Frank's to make my own version of Buffalo wing sauce. I add to a bowl some Frank's hot sauce, then a packet of Good Season's Italian seasoning Mix, some honey and whisk...It is the BEST hot sauce for wings or chicken fingers...whatever!! Yummy.… read full review »

I love this sauce! I decided to make my own lower fat baked hot wings and decided to buy this sauce. I was not sure if I would like it but WOW- it is so tasty! It reminds me of Hooters wing sauce (between a mild and medium) but it is smoother and since it comes in a decent sized bottle, you can use as mich or as little as you want! Run to the store to buy this stuff... a regular sized bottle lasts a… read full review »

I have been a Franks Red Hot fanatic for years, so when I saw they made this product I went crazy for it!  I always order the boneless buffalo chicken in restaurants, and now I am able to make a healthier alternative at home using grilled chicken and this delicious sauce!  I have a high tolerance for heat, and would actually prefer it be a touch hotter, but it definately hits the spot! … read full review »

I decided to make buffalo wings for the superbowl.  I picked up Franks since it was right next to the frozen wings!  I'm glad I did!  The Franks website suggested using margarine to make the taste "more original"  The wings came out great...not overly spicy, with a great taste.  I actually impressed all the hard to please guys in my life… read full review »

This does not taste like the restaurant style buffalo wing sauce.  I think it is too runny and too vinegary.  It would not stick to the wings or chicken.  It just fell off.  It does have the heat if you are wanting the spice.  If you like Applebee's, Chili's, or Wild Buffalo Wing sauces you probably won't like this sauce. — … read full review »
