I use & pre-fer the "Original Franks Hot Sauce"-That can be toned up or toned down as needed...for each person. Not the wing sauce.

Frank's Red Hot has  Been around for over 80 years, created in buffalo New York.

Franks Red Hot "Original" comes in many sizes from the simple table shaker to big bulk bottles. I have a shaker for the table and a big 23 oz. that I bought at sam's in a (twin pack of two 23 bottles for cooking).

I prefer this sauce because of the smooth flavor & taste adds just the right amount of kick.Used plain it will still make you sweat a little, but not compaired to the other brands out there that will make you run for the milk carton ..

I tone it down with butter to make a mild sauce, so both me and my kids can enjoy.I keep the shaker bottle for anyone to add more if they like it hotter.

The tone down recipe on the bottle (1/3 cup butter or less - 1/2 cup franks red hot)

I use it mostly for my:

 chicken wings

chicken fingers- ( breaded deep fried chicken breast strips)

best paired with a decent blue cheese for additional dipping...

I have known people to add it to taco's as a topping, and spagetti sauce  or sprinkled on a spagetti dish, sloppy joes, chili, even on pizza.

First of all, you're confusing Frank's Red Hot Original with Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce. You don't need to add butter to the Buffalo Wing Sauce, it is already in there. Personally, this stuff is average at best. Wings are far better using Franks' Original Red Hot and melting your own butter. Mix it about 2-1 in favor of the Frank's...this is much better than the Buffalo Wing Sauce that comes from Frank's. It's a big mild, but has good flavor. For a better wing with a little kick to it, use Frank's Xtra Hot.
