We tried this a while ago since my husband likes the Frank's brand of hot sauce. He’s a bit of a hot sauce connoisseur and has strong opinions when it comes to the differing brands of hot sauce. Frank’s had hit the right line between taste, spiciness, and the ability to find it at our grocery store.
We’re both fans of hot wings, but not so much the bones in the wings, so I had often made buffalo sauce to coat our chicken in. It was good, but it does require time and attention. As a busy working mom, I’m always looking for shortcuts that make weeknight dinners easier.
Discovering that Frank’s had bottled their popular Buffalo Sauce recipe was such a relief. We knew we liked their brand; it was their recipe (printed on the back of the bottle) that I usually used when making Buffalo sauce. I now use it often, as it has a spicy/sweet flavor that complements the chicken well. I usually use it as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets or grilled chicken; this way, everyone can use the amount of sauce they prefer (my husband, the aforementioned hot sauce connoisseur, prefers a lot more than the rest of the family) and there’s less clean-up, too.
