The "Darkness" books were a loaner from my pastor right after college.  He had several copies of the set, which he usually did nit get back.  They were mesmerizing, and I love how Peretti describes each and every character and scene.  I felt as if I was in the basement of the building with the Demons myself smelling the sulfur.  The books are captivating in that I could not stop reading because I knew I would miss something.  I often read through the night, and it was well worth it.

So far I've only read This Present Darkness but I'm looking forward to the other two. This book is the best read I've had in years. I'm not an avid reader but this one really caught my interest. It sucked you right in from the beginning.. it was gripping. Makes you think hard on the power of the principalities that we don't see but the Bible makes much mention about. It was eye-opening and kept my wheels turning through the spiral to the end.
