I'm a CONSTANT listener of talk radio; nearly all day, every day. I'm posting this in the misellanious catagory because only TV and film are here so far... I'm going to HAVE to get a new catagory for radio opened here! I've been deep into politics and news for many years now, and I find talk radio to be one of the very best resources we have to keep up with REAL news.

Although, that is for another day, because this review is about a show on the lighter side; Frangela. The name is a blend of Angela & Frances, and these two life-long friends have gone by this name almost since the moment they met. They say it was long before Hollywood started identifying celebrity couples that way. They acquired the name because they were so much alike that their own friends couldn't tell them apart, and so everybody just called them Frangela.

Frangela discusses current events, but there are many other human interest stories, or down right ridiculous items they play around with too. One of their segments is called, "Idiot of the week," and they usually wrap it up with a recap of everything covered in giddy back and forth banter, "Girl, there was a time in this country, when..."

This show started out as "The Week According to Frangela" but has since gone on to be both weekend days (instead of just one), they're also regular Friday guests on the nationally syndicated Stephanie Miller show, and fill-in hosts for many others. They are actresses as well, and they talk about the entertainment industry too. They have appeared on entertainment shows to talk about the latest celeb-dish, and other TV programs like, "Girls Behaving Badly." They've quickly out-grown "The Week..." portion of their show title, as they are popping up everywhere, regularly.

Listening to them go on like they do, is like sitting with your girlfriends, gabbing it up, joking around and trying to make sense of this crazy world we live in. When they start up their show they introduce themselves, "Hi I'm Angela...and I'm Frances...and we're Frangela, your new best friend." Indeed, I adore them as if they were exactly that!

You can stream them live via the station they broadcast from:
www.ktlk.com (this same station also streams Stephanie Miller)

And they have a profile on MySpace where you can find clips of them and more. You can even contact them there, and they will actually answer you too!
