Fox Sports is my favorite fantasy football site.

For those who don't know, in a fantasy football league, fantasy players select professional players to put on their teams. Scoring on a particular Sunday is based on how well your particular players do.

There are plenty of sites where you can play for money, but I am more interested in playing for fun. I've played free fantasy football at Fox, at NFL.com and at Yahoo but I like Fox the best.

It has free live scoring for your fantasy team. Yahoo charges for that. The Fox interface not only shows the game your fantasy team is in but has a superior interfaace where you can click on the pro game scores reported on the menu above and it will open the game summary for that particular pro game in a new window.

You can participate in a live draft or an automated draft. Fox provides player rankings that can be adjusted by the player. Lots of players enjoy live drafts because of the experience. I don't do that because, if my wife finds something for me to do, she's not going to put up with it if I say that I can't go because of my fantasy football draft. If I have to say no, I want it to be for something important, like the football and basketball games for my beloved Illini.

The regular season is 13 games and there was a 3 game playoff sequence. This is not unusual for most fantasy leages, which must complete during the regular season so all league players are available.

The site locks up occasionally because of the live updated or will show a page not found error. I can usually get to where I want to go by refreshing the page or going back to my bookmarks.

The site loads reasonably well in both Netscape and Firefox.

I also want to salute my team, The Obsession, who, thanks to some great player moves on my part and the GREAT Peyton Manning, cruised yesterday to victory in my league Super Bowl.
