Four Moons Restaurant - Orangeburg, SC —
I was on business in Orangeburg and overheard a client talking about the new fine dining restaurant in town. Being very sceptical about fine dining in a smaller southern town I had to ask the name. "Four Moons" was the answer an boy am I glad I had the time to check it out. I snuck into the bar first because I was worried about what I would find inside. I was instantly transported to an upscale, metropolitan, swanky bar. I couldn't beleive my eyes. I asked for a drinklist and a menu and was greeted with a smile and a suggestion of martini off their martini list. I searched the menu which was filled with suggestions and items found only in larger foodie towns. The prices however didn't match. I finished my drink and went into the diningroom for a meal. As urban and swanky as the bar was I didn't expect the dining room to be so wonderfully different. Soft supple leather and lighting to blow your mind. I can't say enough about the food and service. You have to experience it yourself. Ask for help with the wine list. There are many hidden gems and the prices are more than reasonable. I'm taking my clients next time. What an impression!
