Last night was our monthly Girls Night Out and we went to see Four Christmases.  This was a very funny movie and the only reason I am giving it a 4-star rating is due to the intensity of the language.  I have a problem with film producers that want to promote something as a family flick and then they put language in it that is very inappropriate for younger viewers and even adults who get offended with the language.  This movie could have been just as funny without all the crude language.  I have already talked with my family about the movie and I told them it was good but warned them about...

What's the story:
Brad (Vince Vaughn) and Kate (Reese Witherspoon) are a young well-to-do couple that are cynical about marriage and have decided they really like just being a couple without the need for marriage and all the downfalls that go along with it.  Both sets of parents have divorced, and Kate and Brad have decided they don't want to "go there".  They come across to others as a bit shallow and all about themselves.  They haven't spent Christmas with their families in a long time; each year they take a vacation just the two of them.  They always come-up with a new excuse to give why...

Four Christmases is a LOL, tinkle in your pants comedy flick!

Synopsis:

Directed by Seth Gordon, Four Christmasesstars Vince Vaughn as Brad and Reese Whitherspoon as Kate. The fun film is about a commitment phobic couple, who would normally avoid family visits at the holidays, by a freak happen-stance, gets stuck visiting their four families as a result of divorces all in one day. The visits are a riot of dysfunction as they find out their most personal secrets about each other resulting in one being more certain than ever that they are good with the relationship as is while the other...

There aren't many of us out there that don't understand exactly what Kate and Brad are going through having to visit multiple houses on Christmas and not really wanting to see their families anyway. Whether you admit it in public or not, you understand. I understand. We all do. It's that, combined with the performances of Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon that makes Four Christmases a really great movie.

Vaughn and Witherspoon star as Kate and Brad, a couple that have been dating for three years and live together, but don't want to make any serious commitments, not wanting to hurt children through...

I went to see Four Christmases the day it came out on Thanksgiving with my best friend and we had a blast. It was super funny, and all around good time. There is something in it for everyone. Everyone we talked to who has seen it also loves it. I cant wait for it to come out on DVD, because I will be in line to purchase it.

My wife opted for a funny movie which I had not heard of this movie "Fours Christmases" I was more wanting to see Transporter 3. As for as movies go this one was funny even with me being skeptical. Not to many times that I actually laugh like I did during this movie. On a scale of 1 - 10, I would give it a 9!

My husband and I recently saw the movie Four Christmases are the movie theater.  I really enjoy comedies and this was the best movie I saw this year.  I was very excited to see Vince Vaughn in a new comedy.  The previews seamed very funny and the movie was better that the previews.  I did not realize that Robert Duvall was in these picture and it was a wonderful addition except I wish he was given a little bit better lines.  There were actually a lot of familiar faces in this movie.  When you put enough stars in a picture it is hard to make a bad film.  Good acting can go a long way.  I... review »

The premise of this movie is great, especially in these "blended family" times.  An unmarried couple (Witherspoon & Vaughan) who normally spends Christmas away on vacation is forced to visit each of their divorced families on Christmas Day.  Although there are some cute and/or funny spots, this movie was NOT worth the money for my step-daughter and I to go to.  Unfortunately, I'd say the best thing about the experience was that the theater's popcorn was fresh & buttery!  Reese & Vince both have great comedic chops, but they don't really get to showcase them much here.  With a cast including... review »
