I registered for the Forma Stainless Steel Soap Dispenser and Scrub Caddy for my wedding shower because it was Stainless Steel!  My husband and I have always liked Stainless Steel appliances and kitchen items because we felt they looked nice and clean.  The Forma Soap Dispenser WAS nice and clean.... for awhile, but now it's headed for the garbage.

If you look at the product image above, you're probably thinking "oohhh that looks nice!"  but if you look at my picture, you'll see why I plan to throw this out as soon as it's out of soap!  I've had this thing for over 2 years and just recently it's started to leak a lot from the bottom.  Luckily it leaks INTO my sink so it's not a big mess, but it is a waste of soap!  In the picture, what you are seeing is the newest mess. I cleaned up the mess, went out for a few hours, and this is how it is now.

However the mess is not the only reason I gave this 1 star.  Here's a few more.  The scrub thing that comes with it is useless.  The material is brass and it scratches up things like my good pots and pans, which I later learned I should not use this on.  Second, the scrub thing ripped into pieces easily when I was scrubbing something that had sharp edges.  So I threw that away early on and replaced with the scrub sponges we buy.

The last problem with this dispenser is the scrub pad holder.  It quickly builds up water, which I kept dumping out, but even with my cleaning it out it still got gross over time.  Now I know that what I really want is more of a flat dish for the scrub pad.  I don't know if I'll buy a new soap dispenser or if I'll just use the soap right out of it's bottle, but either way it won't be Forma brand!

oh no! I saw these and thought they would be very nice in the bath. GLad I know now that they aren't that nice.

Well, as they say, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." I use the decorative soap dispensers in my bathrooms and I'm using the Dial Yogurt Vanilla Honey Liquid soap in my kitchen. Still looking for a Vintage Coke soap dispenser.

Thanks for the warning. They sure looked nice before!

I have found that metal soap dispensers like this tend to crack and leak, and I have no idea why. I've thrown out a couple similar soap dispensers, and it just doesn't make sense that they crack and leak in a couple years.

Anyway, nice review!
