Ford Fusion - 2007 Review

I'm a Ford girl all the way,and the Ford Fusion did not disappoint.  I purchased my 2007 model with around 13000 miles on it in 2008.  Within the first week of owning the car, we drove the car 1400 miles for vacation: what a great car for a long trip!  Here's the run-down:

Great Features: Lots of leg room in the front seats, power everything (windows, locks, driver's seat), multiple air bags, moon roof, high quality factory model stereo with a 5-disc CD player, cruise control, controls for stereo and cruise on the steering wheel, HUGE trunk, neutral cloth interior, unique but easy to clean texture on the dashboard, tons of storage space in dash and console for cd's, sunglasses, garage door opener, an Oompa-loompa (seriously, there is TONS of storage).  I get good gas mileage...I average 29.4 mpg, and around 27 city (4 cylinder).  With the instability in today's fuel economy, this car is a wise purchase.  It's important to me that maintenance is easy to do, since I hate to rely on my husband to take care of everything...changing the battery, wiper blades, and refilling liquids are all within my limited capability on this car. 

Downsides: The 4 cylinder is a little on the wimpy side, so if I could purchase the car again, I'd shoot for the V6, although I'd be trading in low fuel consumption for the boost in power.  While a minor issue, the Fusion, much like the Focus, has a really loud clicking sound when the blinker is on...I'd love to see Ford change that on future models.

I love my Fusion.  It's a smart buy for a single person, couple, or small family.  You not only get a reliable set of wheels, but you'll get extra features that make the car feel more like a luxury vehicle than a standard sedan.
