After looking at many different SUVs we stopped into the Ford dealership to look at the Ford Escape. We test drove it and realized that vehicle was too small for our family. The salesman showed us the Ford Explorer with a third row seating. With two very active teenagers we knew we wanted a vehicle that would fit them comfortable (why we upgraded from a van to an SUV) and have additional room for their friends. The first time we used the third row seating was bringing 5 teenagers to a concert. On the way home one of the biggest teenagers kept commenting on how comfortable the back seat was. The next day at school he was bragging to all his friends that he wanted an SUV like my daughter's (insert her name here) mom.
Our Ford has the reverse beeping alarm when something is behind your vechile while you're backing up. Although we don't have any small kids who we need to worry about, I have found it to be very useful. I love it when we're backing up in a tight fitting parking lot. I'll definately be looking to have this in my next vehicle.
My grandmother rode in my Ford last week and commented herself on how comfortable it was. It rides very smooth, low noise, lots of room and the center console is at the perfect height for comfort!
I highly recommend this vehicle.
