Ford Explorer - 2000 Review

I am a person who drives daily, and also enjoys leisurely drives. I would not recommend owning a 2000 Ford Explorer, maybe any Ford Explorer for that matter. My fiance and I have owned the explorer for a lil over a couple years and have had nothing but problems with it. Everytime we turn around there is a recall or something else going wrong with it. The spark plugs go constantly, the back hatch has broken several times, the doors become stuck (and will not open), the cruise control has a mind of its own, the motor and transmission have both been replaced and still nothing but problems. I have owned several other cars besides this one, and would have to say that this is our worst investment and we will never own a Ford Explorer again. I dont know if we just happened to get a lemon, but I do not have any good comments on this vehicle. It is horrible on gas, we use a 1/2 a tank of gas just driving 45 mins away. This vehicle is not a vehicle that you want to own unless you want to sink money into it every month!!
