Fool's Gold Review

This movie was awful.  There were so many scenes that were just plain stupid, not funny at all, and had no point to the plot.  It was like the producers hired Kate and Matthew to do a tropical treasure flick then pulled someone off the street and told them to write a script.  The character of Gemma is supposed to be a ditz but they go so above and beyond with her idiotic lines that I wanted the girl to get shot.  Finn's character is supposed to be a bit of a dopey hopeless romantic and he seemed just plain dopey (and his hair looked like crap, too--it was distracting).  Even the adorable Kate Hudson was a bore in this.  If it wasn't for the amazing shots of the islands and the underwater scenes I'd have given it one star.  Don't waste your money on this!  It's not even worth a $4 rental.  I'd wait and watch it on netflix instant viewing if you insist on seeing it.
