I have had 4 replacements with this thermometer. The same thing happens with every one of them. I get LLL on the screen after about 8 uses and it is done. No damage seen on the outside. It is cheaply made, overpriced and useless, Don't waste your money on it.

Worked once, and I thought I liked it. Nice menu of temps for various kinds of meats, and I liked the various mounting options. But the second time I used it, it worked for a couple minutes and then produced a HHH reading (for over-temperature). Tried resetting, replacing batteries, but the only way to get rid of the HHH is to remove the probe (which produces a LLL). My guess is that the probe is toast. Unlike the prior reviewer, there's no visible damage to the probe or probe wire, but I'm betting that it's bad internally. What a waste of money!
