I received the Food Network 12 cup muffin pan as a gift last Christmas. The Food Network line is carried at Kohl's and is based on the TV channel of food and cooking programs. I was VERY surprised by the quality and the results from this muffin pan. According to Cook's Illustrated, you should look for bakeware that is very heavy- this means the metal will retain heat better and it promotes even baking.
This muffin pan is quite heavy and solid. It doesn't warp and I've had only a few stains. It's a light colored metal, but also has a nonstick coating. There are generous handles on the side, so you don't mangle any of your muffins or cupcakes when removing the pan from the oven. I never use muffin papers, but only wipe a light coating of shortening in the pans before adding the batter to the cups. The muffins come out beautifully browned, crunchy, and intact.
Pros: Heavy duty metal, non stick, nice handles
Cons: A little expensive, available only at Kohls
