After a long, busy day at work I love fixing grilled cheese and tomato basil soup.  It gives me that "everything will be okay" feeling!  What's your comfort food or meal?

Pasta.  It's definitely my favorite type of food to make and ties with Mexican for my favorite food to eat.  I love sitting down to a bowl of delicious pasta and homemade sauce - it's so comforting and satisfying.

These days it's Southern Fried Chicken, potato salad and maybe some cole slaw.

When I lived up north it probably would have been a meatloaf.  I know it sounds boring but it's comforting.

As for pasta, I can go for a pasta dish anytime.

Oh man. You guys are making me drool.

Pasta, Mexican and meatloaf are some of my favorite "food groups!" I guess if I had to pick I'd say pasta, though. I love mixing sauces, meats, and other ingredients and just testing out different combos.

One of my favorite specialities is warm pasta salad (not very difficult to make). I love mixed veggies, bow ties and TONS of fat-free Iatlian. The pasta has to be hot off the stove, though. I don't know why but there is something delicious about warm pasta salad.

My #1 ultimate comfort food is chocolate cake with lots of dark chocolate icing.

After that it would have to be any pasta variety...I think I'm a bit of a carb-aholic because that's what I find most satisfying & comforting.

My favorite comfort food is meatloaf & mashed potatoes. It's one of the few things I can cook myself. A close runner up is tomato soup with grilled cheese, tomato & onion sandwiches.

YES, dark chocolate is the dessert after the comfort food is eaten!!  And it's good for you, too, hence my review of Moonstruck Truffles you must try them!  They are sinfully good!  Thank you for ordering my book!  It was so much fun to write and is packed with lots of stories everyone . . . [well everyone who has a whacky grandmaw like me] can relate to.  AND, I just found out today that Grandparents.com is considering reviewing the book!  Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Absolutely anything dark chocolate!

I found Coconut Bliss Frozen Desserts and the Dark Cocolate is awesome. They have more but the store I frequent doesn't stock them.

My own homemade potato salad and chitterlings.  If I could eat it every day I would.  I make it for holidays.

Lisa, I have to agree!  I've been suffering from a lingering cold and eating a lot of chicken soup. It's been comforting and healing.   My cold seems to be subsiding and I credit the homemade chicken noodle soup! :)

Bard, that's not only comfort food that's "put your feet up, loosen that top pants button, fall asleep in the lazyboy" comfort food, lol ;)
