Confession time . . .

I know some people have loads of self control. Then, there are the rest of us (-:

What food did you in this holiday season?

For me, it was the sausage balls.

I know that cholesterol and fat is bad, bad, bad with a white flour product, fatty sausage, and cheddar cheese.

I shared the sausage balls with everyone (and I only make them once or twice a year now), and I enjoyed every one I ate. Plus, I wish I had some now to be honest.

For my mom it was the stuffed mushrooms! I did pretty good. Not too much of anyone thing or too much of anything for that matter. But my secret recipe for stuffed mushrooms and my mom 1 lb of mushrooms later was not feeling very well. Moral to the story -- don't put out all of the cooked one do it in batches :-)

My downfall is always the desserts. My mom baked a pecan pie and I only had two slices. I made a gluten-free coffee cake, which is very good. I had better control at Christmas than I did at Thanksgiving. =D

I've heard of stuffed mushrooms but I don't know what it is... besides the mushrooms. LOL! What does it have in them or how is it?

I ate like a hog! I went in for the turkey then the honey ham, then dug into the pork, and clasped my hands together and dove right into the roast beef! :P Then I finished off with a layer of cake with heavy frosting and shoved it into my mouth and swallowed it whole. Thought I chewed on it later like cows do. :P

(In case you didn't know, I was joking. :P) LOLO!!

Snacks... everywhere we've been there's always snacks out.  You take one here, then one there... next thing you know you're full of snacks and it's dinner time.  And of course you have to eat that dinner as well cause it all looks so good. Yumm.

Once all the food was put out on Christmas Eve and Day it would stay for several hours for people to pick and choose from.  I didn't eat much of anything but I did enjoy the cheeseball and a dip that had cream cheese and pineapple in it.  My friend's sister made an awesome punch with bananas, pineapple and something else and I kept drinking that.  I loved the mac & cheese (always do) and the baby lima beans.  Besides the dip I don't think I ate anything sweet ;+/  Oh well, I guess I'm sweet enough.

I'll have more of the junk food fiesta at my sister's New Year's Eve gathering.  She always prepares tons of finger foods and chips/dips, etc.

I can't believe I have to go back to work tomorrow ;+(

If I can make it thru Wednesday I am off Thursday and Friday.  I can't wait for Wednesday night after the mid-week church service.  I "think" my sister and her family might come over here for a while too.  Last year we went back and forth between both homes.  My house is the place where we love to watch musicals and pull all the board games out!

OOh board games, that reminds me, we can play Jumanji at the virtual slumber party. LOL :P

Well, I don't want to be in the way when all those animals start stampeding through the house.  Jumanji was a pretty good movie but I liked Zathura better.  Have you seen it?  Did you get any cool games, books or movies for Christmas that you might share with us?

I got 4 Jodi Picoult books.  I got the book Twilight.  I got Sisterhood Of the Traveling Pants 2.  This was the first time in a long time that I didn't get any board games for Christmas.  Oh but my friends little girl got the Baby Alive and we played with that for about an hour.  That baby pooped stuff that looked like split pea soup ;+/  I'm going to do a review on the doll and I have some adoreable pictures of her little girl.

So, what have you been working on?  You know the rattling, banging, etc.?  hehe

Green poop? Ewww! You are going to review that??? :P

Well, I added wheels to all the furniture. :P Careful because some may collapse if you sit.. I mean move it. :P

I got an interesting board game. It's cool! It's a 3 use board game. You can play Chinese checkers, checkers and Chess. The only one I know how to play is checkers.

Hey, mobile furniture cool!  That might be good for nights when we need more floor space.  Just don't roll the furniture too fast because it might plow someone over!

I had one those combo board games but mine was 7-in-1.  It had Parcheesi, Backgammon and some others.

You don't know how to play Chinese Checkers?  Whoa!!  I have a beautiful glass Chinese checkers game.  hmm...potential for review ;+)

Pumpkin pie & sweet potatoes are my holiday weaknesses. I have pumpkin pie during the year but sweet potatoes only on Thanksgiving & Christmas.

And since I love sharpe cheddar but don't eat beef or pork.  I'll have a cheeseburger hold the patty :+)

Coming home tonight my gut is definitely stuffed.  I'm thinking the topper was the blueberry/pineapple pie... Yum.  But everything was wonderful.
