Folgers Colombian Coffee is a brand I will pick up every now and then—especially if the budget is tight. My husband does not enjoy flavored coffees and other blends like I do, so Folgers Colombian Coffee is a good choice in brews when an inexpensive but decent coffee is needed. Folgers Colombian Coffee is a good and smooth coffee for those who prefer a regular Colombian blend of coffee that isn’t very strong. The one drawback in comparison to our beloved Community Coffee Dark Roast Blend Coffee is that the Folgers is not near as rich or full bodied that we southerner’s love to indulge in!

Folgers Colombian Blend

Folgers describes this blend as a full bodied medium blend of coffee. It is made from 100% Columbian beans. This blend has a fresh aroma. It comes in a red plastic recyclable container with an "aroma seal" which ensures freshness in each container purchased. Folgers Colombian Blend comes in 11.5 oz. containers that retail for about $3.99 depending on where purchased. You can also purchase a larger container for $6.99-$7.99. Compared to $5.99 for our local Community Coffee, buying this brand will save a couple of dollars when needed.

Folgers originated in San Francisco, CA, but now the home office resides in Cincinnati, OH. They also offer other blends for those that like a little more adventure in their lives: Special Roast, Breakfast Blend, French Roast, Hazelnut, and Decaffeinated. Folgers Colombian Blend can be found at most major grocery stores, warehouse clubs and convenience stores.

My Viewpoint

I enjoy a cup of Folgers Colombian Blend coffee on my weekend mornings at home. It has a rich flavor and a nice aroma. I find it to be a mild coffee compared to Community, even though Folgers markets it as a full bodied coffee. Since I enjoy other blends of coffee, this is my regular weekend coffee to keep peace in the household. It's a good everyday coffee but to me nothing really special. I like a little variety and spice in my coffee!

I recommend Folgers Colombian Blend for an everyday coffee. To me it is really nothing out of the ordinary and nothing to really brag about. However, it is a good and decent cup of coffee, just don't expect anything in the gourmet line. It’s an average coffee!

Haha, I'm really enjoying the new Folger's Gourmet Caramel Drizzle right now. Yummm!

Well c'mon now! What does compare to Community Dark Roast?

Hey Rudi, it just doesn't have the punch Community has! We're spoiled here with coffee!

George, it's ok when there is no flavored coffee or Community around. It's my backup plan :)

I have respect for this coffee. Need it stronger? Just heap those tablespoons.

Folgers is a good, solid brand. I like it, too.
