When I first discovered Folger's Black Silk, I thought "Wow! Folger's has stepped up!" Boy, was I wrong. It was a step down. I bought 2 large containers and would not but it again.

It's just plain dark and bland! There's very little flavor and NO bite at all.

It's pretty... but worthless!

Folgers Black Silk is not recommended by jayjayt

When the Black Silk first showed up, I had great hopes of it being one step deeper than their Columbian (which I like a whole lot). Alas, life is full of disappointments.

I like and buy Black Silk. However my local stores are placing it on clearence so I bought it all up; it was half price which tells me Folger's is probably phasing it out. Frankly I love dark roast but Black Silk is dark roast Folgers but costs more! If today's price increases continue I will probably go to Community dark roast. At least you use to get a true pound instead of 13 oz.
