Flight of the Conchords —
The Flight of the Conchords is a very different type of program. I usually do not like "musicals", that is, a show where singing is part of the story. However, this program uses their crazy songs to entertain and get their viewpoints across in a very comedic way. The New Zealand accent that both performers use, is quite catchy and different than an Australian accent, I was surprised to discover. Some of the deadpan humor is hilarious. The situations they get themselves into (the best so far is "Mugged") are unbelievable. I am so happy I "discovered" this show quite by accident. HBO did not really advertise it as much as "John from Cincinnati" (which I believe is being cancelled). Happily, "Flight" has been renewed for another season!
