I looked great from the back but sported 'man bulges' in front.
3 star rating

a lingerie lover, seeking sexy comfort, super body conscious, from a family of flat butts, willing to pay for quality, a believer in accentuating the positive
Pros

shape the backside really well, light control, no seams, lightweight, very stretchy, zaps panty lines well

Cons
legs rolled up on me, made my thighs bulge, a bit pricey

Quick View: I never really liked boy shorts because I am not a fan of anything on my thighs under my clothes which is why I like high cut legs on my bikinis and thongs. However, I recently bought a hot pair of Lady Enyce "sweatpants" and I needed a panty to zap pantylines because the back of the pants is thin and tight. I ordered a pair of Flexees Sew-Free Boy Shorts and they did what I wanted. However, I had an issue with the front of the leg area rolling up.

About the Flexees Sew-Free Boy Short

Flexees makes a lot of shapewear products. These boy shorts are not really made for control but for a smooth silhouette. These boy shorts come in beige, black, and blush pink. I bought the nude/beige color. They are seam free except on the crotch area where they have a sewn in cotton panel. They have a line free waistband and non-elastic bands around the bottom of the legs to supposedly keep the boy short in place on your legs. The material is 59% Nylon, 21% Elastane, 20% Cotton.

I bought a size small which fit fine. They have light control to smooth little lumps and bumps and to shape the backside. They're thin but not see through and cover everything I want covered. The backside fit me great. But the front's leg length seemed odd. They are longer than other boy shorts I have had which wouldn't really be a problem but they squish my thighs and make them bulge a little under the band. Now, I have to tell you, I have chicken legs. My thighs are about 20.5 inches. If these things make my legs bulge, then they will make anyone's.

I sat down and the legs rolled up in the front. No more thigh bulge but now I had rolled up legs. However, the back view was smokin'. These gave me a very smooth, very uplifted backside which got compliments. No one could see the rolling legs because the pants weren't super skin tight but it annoyed me.

After a while, I forgot about the boy shorts and the rolling legs and all was OK but still, if I had something tighter on, a bulge of rolling boy short leg would not have been a pretty look. It's too bad because my butt never looked so good!

My Viewpoint

I paid $13.00 for my Flexees Sew-Free Boy Shorts on the Maidenform website. (They are the makers of Flexees.). I love the light control, the seamless construction, and the lift I get in my backside. I like how lightweight the boy shorts are and how they zap panty lines. But I do not like thigh bulge nor rolling front legs on my boy shorts. This is a tough one to rate. I guess I have to go with the dreaded 3 star rating. Maybe it's me, maybe it's Flexees but the front legs need to be shorter or longer because where the sit on me makes them roll up and gives me funky bulges in an area women don't usually have bulges. I still do recommend them because they do great things for the backside and even the belly. Maybe they will fit you better in the front.

M, this reminds me of a quick vignette from The Simpsons' Movie where Comic Book Guy is sitting in Marge's kitchen and, after giving her a typically silly theory about what "Epa" is all about, he gets up and thanks Marge for letting him have her pregnancy pants...and he's already wearing them. On women, nice butts and no panty lines - Good. "Man bulges" - Bad.

No pantylines is cool, man bulge is not. Thanks for the info - and the warning. Good review.

LOL. They do have firm control ones and ones that go all the way up to your chest. You may want those as well. We ALL want a slim girlish figure and no panty lines...right? Heh.

These might be what I need to keep my slim, girlish figure.

LOL. Well I had a bulge on each side. I guess no one would mistake those bulges for anything on the male anatomy (I hope!). Boy shorts are great for some things but these just didn't wanna stay smooth in the front. Regular boy shorts have much shorter legs. And I am explaining this to a guy why? Just disregard this comment. ;)

Flexees is a great name and has good shape wear but these just were funky. Check out their stuff thought at flexees.com or maidenform.com. I have a few other pieces and they are are all good.

"Man bulges"? Plural? What kind of men do you know?? Actually, my wife got some boy-style undies because of a sensitive incision she had from an operation, which was right where the leg meets the abdomen. Regular panties irritated the incision but the boy-style shorts were more comfortable. Special needs, I suppose. --Bob
