When I moved into an apartment last year after having owned a home for quite some time, I knew I would have to reacquaint myself with noise from nearby neighbors. While the noise is rarely bad, there are some times I just want it to be Q-U-I-E-T! I have found that Flents Quiet Time Ear Plugs work quite well at greatly reducing the annoying noise I hear.
Flents Quiet Time Ear Plugs are rather large cone-shaped ear plugs made of foam. They can easily be squeezed down to insert them into the ear canal. It takes a little practice to get them in your ears just right though. They look kind of weird because the ends stick out of your ears. And to top it off - they are purple!
These earplugs do a very good job of greatly reducing stray noises and have helped me sleep on nights when the neighbors are being a bit noisy, a car alarm keeps going off, or someone is running their clothes washer way too late. While they do not make it silent, these plugs do block the majority of noise that is bothersome. Coupled with a running fan, almost all noises can be covered up.
Flents Quiet Time Ear Plugs have a noise reducing rating of 31 and are sold in a box of 10. They come with a little box that will fit just 2 plugs so you can take just a pair with you somewhere. I don't recall the exact price I paid but they are about $5. In my experience these ear plugs do work at reducing noise and helping me sleep, even if the neighbors are wide awake.
