I purchase Fleischmann's Active Dry Yeast in 3-packs and use this product in all of my baking that requires regular rise active dry yeast.

I am really impressed that Ach Food Companies now lists this product as gluten free right on the packaging. Hoorah! My children have multiple food sensitivities, and labeling like this is a big deal to me. Imagine grocery shopping for a family of five with three kids helping and needing to read all food labels. If the label does not specify that a product is gluten-free, then I end up researching the product online or contacting the manufacturer.

Fleischmann's Active Dry Yeast is a staple in my pantry. I keep both the three pack size as well as the jar because I make a lot of bread, rolls, etc.

Fleischmann's has never let me down in the 30 plus years that I have been using it unless I put it in too cold or too hot of water.  Once I got the right temp down, it has been a tried and true product.

For most recipes, you simply sprinkle the yeast  onto a cup of warm water and add a bit of sugar [it feeds the yeast].  As the yeast mixes in to the water and starts feeding on the sugar, it will begin to bubble and grow.  It is fun to watch...

Because I bake the bulk of our breads here in our home, I've tried every product on the market - some for cost comparisons, some out of curiosity. In these days, experimentation is a thing of the past. I will use nothing but Fleischmann's Yeast products in my humble little cabin kitchen.

This particular active dry yeast absolutely never fails me. As is noted by Katrena, my fellow reviewer, it's best to store the packets of yeast in the refrigerator and bring it to room temperature before use.

I think quite many - especially novice - bakers have problems with yeasts because temperature is a...

Fleischmann's active dry yeast comes comes in a three pack.  So you get 3 small packages.  It wasn't expensive and I found it at my local Keyfood supermarket. I needed to make a few recipes that included yeast and I have always used this brand.  It worked just perfect every single time.  I thought it had a funny smell but that's just because I never smelled pure yeast since I never used it all up close and personal until I had to.
