Fleischmann's Active Dry Yeast is a staple in my pantry. I keep both the three pack size as well as the jar because I make a lot of bread, rolls, etc.

Fleischmann's has never let me down in the 30 plus years that I have been using it unless I put it in too cold or too hot of water.  Once I got the right temp down, it has been a tried and true product.

For most recipes, you simply sprinkle the yeast  onto a cup of warm water and add a bit of sugar [it feeds the yeast].  As the yeast mixes in to the water and starts feeding on the sugar, it will begin to bubble and grow.  It is fun to watch the process and when you see that happening, you can rest assured that the yeast is doing it's thing.

Simply, follow the directions of the recipe and you will soon be enjoying the fresh taste of home made bread.  Nothing better.

The yeast comes in several variations- Red Star Yeast, Fleischmann's Rapid Rise Yeast, Compressed Cake Yeast and bread machine yeast.

I like a different kind for rapid-rise, but since I mostly use red star, Fleischmann's is for me!

Long ago, when I was in high school and could hardly wait to work out in the kitchen, I used to make things made of yeast dough and there is nothing like it -- that wonderful smell has no comparison. Great review!
