It all started with me craving some chips, so I walked down the chip isle trying to find something not-so-bad-for-me. I'm sure we have all been there! I wanted something indulgent without the indulgent calories or fat. Yeah, I live in a dream world.
I laid eyes on these Flat Earth Baked Veggie Crisps because the bag says there is a "1/2 serving of real vegetables in every ounce". This must be too good to be true. I bought the bag and my husband and I started snacking as soon as we got home. I was majorly impressed. Not only do they taste good, but you get a half serving of veggies in an ounce! I bought the Tangy Tomato Ranch flavor and love it. I don't taste any ranch, just a mild, tomato flavor. The texture is perfect, it is crunchy and crisp. They actually satisfy my craving for "bad" chips. I couldn't be more impressed.
How did it all start?
Flat Earth Baked Veggie Crisps are actually owned by Frito-Lay. The back of the bag says, "When a small group of passionate women at Frito-Lay challenged beliefs that "tasty snacks are bad for you" and "nutritious snacks are boring", they decided to create the Flat Earth brand. "With a tasty blend of potato, rice and vegetables, these "Impossibly Good" veggie crisps make it possible to have great taste and nutrition."
The veggies that comprise the Tangy Tomato Ranch flavor are: potato flakes, pumpkin, tomato paste, onion, red bell pepper and beet juice concentrate.

The Scoop!
I am sold! I can't wait to try another flavor. It is so great to find a baked snack that tastes indulgent but isn't, but not only that, it provides a half serving of vegetables!
