It takes a lot to work for me but it does work when I get the amount right. I also have to apply by spreading it all over my top plate. Just leaving it in the recommended strips isn't effective. I hate that it's so goopy and hard to clean from mouth. Overall good though. The Fixodent Pure Strength is awesome! Highly recommend it. Solves all the afford mentioned problems!

I have been using Fixodent for 4 years now. When I first started to use Fixodent it was easy to apply in just the right amount I needed for a very secure hold. I preferred to the tubes with a fine point tip because it was very easy to achieve the right amount needed for secure hold. I can no longer find a Fixodent tube that has the fine point and have been using the standard size point. This point applies way too much adhesive and creates oozing around the denture. This oozing is annoying and requires so much more clean-up than I think it should. Please, tell me I can still fine the fine tip tube and where I might find it.

The only thing that would give this a 10 is the price. But let me tell you my story about the good things about it, and you'll see that it's still worth it. A month and a half ago, at 54, I made a huge decision to have all my natural upper teeth replaced by a full denture. I had struggled with the idea until I finally realized that capping each tooth as it abscessed was worrisome and expensive, and so I sought a solution for my whole upper set of teeth. I wanted no more toothaches and I wanted a smile to be proud of. Well, I'm a fast healer, and after just 3 weeks, I had healed enough that the appliance was already loose enough to move awkwardly when I chewed on one side. But my bones are still tender enough that having the thing move is a bit sore if I'm chewing something tough or hard. And having the teeth move makes me feel like I could gag. Now here comes the idea of the adhesive, I will be able to pay for a reline in a few months, but for now, I must still work, smile, and eat with confidence. I tried this adhesive as a temporary solution, and WOW! What a difference. I simply press the denture in place, and it doesn't move around on my gums. I don't feel a moving thing on my palate making me gag. My gums do not get sore, but feel snug and secure. I can eat my raw vegetables with no problem. Food particles don't get trapped under the denture and liquids don't swirl about under it. I can even securely hold the mouthpiece of my snorkel in place and can breathe without getting water in my mouth as I swim, because the teeth are firmly in place. Removal is challenging, but not impossible, requiring some rocking of the appliance up and down until the bond lets go, and I sometimes have a sticky residue on my gums and in the denture, and I need to rinse my mouth well and scrub my denture. However, this is worth it to have no loose dentures.

I have used many different kinds of adhesive in the past 13 years that I have had dentures and this is the best one that I have found. There are different varieties that you can choose from but my favorite is the one that has scope in it. I have found that you can use less of this adhesive than the generic brands and it last longer. With some of the other brands that I have tried I have to reapply throughout the day but with this I do not. This brand is also not much more expensive then the others on the market. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone that needs a good denture adhesive. I also have no problems with different kinds of food such as seeded buns, fruits, etc. I also like that this adhesive has very good packaging. I have no problems with the adhesive drying up or not coming out easily. I also enjoy the fine tip that comes on the one with the scope. Very good product.

Fixodent, has become a very discomforting product to use, it changes the flavor and and taste of all drinks and foods, i don't recommend this product to anybody. I feel that it is not worth the money. The best product that i recommend using is Walmarts brand equate denture adhesive cream it works the best and does not leave the nasty taste of the cream in your mouth and it doesn't leave foods and drinks tasting bad. Hope this helps you in looking for the best denture cream for you

Although on a daily basis I find Fixodent Adhesive Powder to be the most convenient adhesive to use, when I know I'm going to be out for a long time and want to be sure my dentures stay securely in place regardless of what I choose to eat, my go-to adhesive is Fixodent Food Seal Denture Adhesive Cream. Although for the most part I find that most cream adhesives are reasonably interchangeable, Fixodent Food Seal Denture Adhesive Cream adds just a little bit more holding power and is better in assuring that food particles don't get under your denture plate. One of the first things you notice about the Food Seal tube is that the applicator tip is very small, allowing you to only apply a very thin ribbon of adhesive to the denture. Unlike other denture creams that are applied in short strips or dots, Fixodent Food Seal Denture Adhesive Cream is applied in one continuous thin strip around the entire plate. Even with the very thin strip of cream, it takes a bit of practice to lay down a continuous bead with enough distance from the denture edge to assure maximum grip and minimum ooze of the adhesive. I'm now at the point where I can use Fixodent Food Seal Denture Adhesive Cream without having any ooze from the edges. Sure, it took a little practice, but now when I need truly all-day hold I don't hesitate to reach for the Fixodent Food Seal Denture Adhesive Cream. For travelers or for those who won't venture out without some back-up adhesive, Fixodent Food Seal Denture Adhesive Cream also comes in small .35oz tubes that fit comfortably in a pocket or your travel kit and will last for several days. For my money and piece of mind, Fixodent Food Seal Denture Adhesive Cream is the best cream adhesive I've used. I highly recommend it.

I have dentures and have always used a store brand denture adhesive.I bought another name brand product and loved it,it was very superior to the store brand.I then found fixodent on sale and thought it would be as good as the other name brand product.I was very disappointed with the fixodent,it did not hold well at all and did not stay on at all.It was not even as good as the store brand that I had originally used.I did not like color of the product at all.

Proctor & Gamble Fixodent Denture Adhesives Cream has been my life saver! I have had dentures for about 5 years now and have tried creams, strips, and just about any other type of denture adhesive product that has been on the market. I have yet to find anything else that works like Fixodent Original! All other adhesives I have tried have kept me self concious and afraid to eat certain foods in fear that I would lose one plate or another or get food under the plate and end up with a sore spot between the plate and my gums. It takes a while to figure out exactly how much of the adhesive to use so you don't have seapage out from under the plate. Once you master this all your problems with dentures are just about over! I don't mind paying a small bit more for Fixodent because it has a strong hold that actually lasts for just about as long as you can be awake! I would recommend this product to anyone that has dentures!

Fixodent Complete Denture Adhesive Cream comes in a 2.4 ounce tube, which is white, and has blue and yellow coloring on the front.  I have used it on and off for many years. When I first get new dentures I don't normally need it because the top ones stay in place.  After a couple of years it is a different matter.  The top ones become loose and start to move. Fixodent is one of the brand names of adhesive for dentures.  It is a thick pink paste, and you have to be very careful, as to how much you use. The first time only put a few dots on the pink area of the dentures, and see how it holds.  If it still moves then add more.  There is nothing worse than putting too much on, and it oozes out ot the back of the denture, and up over the tops of the teeth. It is really disgusting if you swallow some by accident.  You basically learn by your mistakes. I think that both Polygrip and Fixodent do the same job, and neither one is better than the other.  It will work on keeping dentures in place, and is a good product.

I am the proud owner of new dentures and have tried many of the denture adhesive on the market. Though Fixodent Denture adhsesive has been the one that I have liked the best. I do not have to use a lot to get my dentures to stay put and they are easly removed at the end of the day without a lot of adhsive build-up on gums, like some of these other products I have tried.
