Quick View: You didn't think FitFlops were going to stop at just sandals did you? They now have clogs and boots with the same toning insoles. Naturally I had to try the FitFlop - Billow Convertiboot because I love boots and I love FitFlops. I really like the boots but their use is limited to just cold weather. Still, these pricey boots really do work my leg and butt muscles as I walk around.

About FitFlop - Billow Convertiboot

The official word: FitFlops are engineered with a multi-density midsole that stimulates your muscles more while you're wearing them. In independent University testing, FitFlops have been shown to trigger increased gluteal muscle response, increased hamstring response, increased rectus femoris (thigh) response and increased calf muscle response. (Manufacturer's Info)

These flat ankle boots have Dupont treated sheepskin lining and can be rolled down or up (hence the name Convertiboot). They are have suede uppers and rubber soles and come in four neutral colors. I have the camel color. They also have black, chocolate, and mushroom to choose from.

FitFlops were invented to kind of simulate walking barefoot in sand. They work the leg muscles as well as the glutes as you walk. My original FitFlops really do that. I can feel my legs working as I walk. I wasn't so sure about the boots. And they weren't cheap at about $125.00 a pair but I bought them where they had a good returns policy and went for it. When I first tried them on, they felt stiff. Not like supple suede boots but more like work boots or something. I did read that the boots soften after a  few wears and, indeed, they did and now fit like a glove. The insole is very cool. I can feel it but it isn't uncomfortable at all. In fact, after walking a while in the boots, it's downright dreamy feeling.

The boots are warm and cute. I wear them with skinny jeans, leggings, tights and even bootleg jeans. I wear them around the house in my jammies even! I waterproofed them (although they come already treated) and they haven't stained nor leaked. They really do work my legs and they're cute. Another plus is that they can worn as slippers around the house (expensive slippers!). I like that they convert from very short and fluffy to a little taller and all suede. So, are they awesome? They're good. I like them. I would LOVE them if they were about $70.00 though. After all, I can only wear them during the cold months and, in New York, short boots get eaten by deep snow. Still, you won't be disappointed in the looks or performance of the FitFlop - Billow Convertiboot. The boots will last for many seasons and are great for shopping or any casual outing. They look good and work your muscles as you do your thing.

My Viewpoint

Although I really feel the FitFlop - Billow Convertiboot are overpriced because they're so new, I do like them. they are extremely well made and look good on. They work my leg and butt muscles and they can be worn indoors or out. Because they convert, they're versatile and give you two looks. But it's the cool "wobbleboard" insole that makes these boots special. I lstill ove my Uggs but my FitFlop - Billow Convertiboots are as comfy and give my legs a workout. 4 stars.

And clogs too. So cute and work the legs at the same time. But highway robbery on the prices.

7.5 or 8. I am getting rid of lots of shoes and boots because I have no room to live. Haha. My sisters are already fighting over them. I hate to give away good, almost new (some ARE new) shoes but I just have to downsize. :(

What size shoe do you wear? You might have to send your little cyber twin some of those cool shoes. They sound nice but I can't see me spending that much on them. hmm...I need to come up with a plan.

I spend too much on all the newest stuff. I am tightening my purse strings this year. I have to. The economy is killing us!
