The Fiskars bypass pruner works well for many small homeowners chores cutting branches and giving a good, non- slipping grip. It is fairly inexpensive, also. The 7936 model has a Tough Nyglass composite construction that is surprisingly  lightweight. It is sold at Home Depot and Target.

Model #9644 is sold on Amazon.com. I will not state prices, since they do tend to fluctuate; however, I've seen under $16 and $17 models over the internet.

They are excellent for precision cutting, and my personal favorite; which is why I have rated them an outstanding.
