I have purchased a few pairs of inexpensive pruners in the past, to loan out at work. Fiskars has a good reputation, so I tried these out once. Boy was I disappointed.

They didn't hold up under even moderate use (although my idea of moderate may be a bit tougher than most when it comes to pruners.) They quickly got loose, the coating on the handles worked off, and the safety lock was ineffective.

To be fair, they were the cheapest pruners available at that place and time. I shouldn't have expected much, but I was hoping for more from the Fiskars name.
