Fisher Paykel Washer - Top Load Intuitive Eco - IWL16 Review Summary
The Fisher and Paykel top loading washing machine may not jump out and grab you. It looks like a small, basic washing machine, but it actually is a large capacity washer. If space is an issue, but you still want to wash large loads, this may be the perfect machine say reviewers. The Fisher and Paykel does a nice job cleaning clothes, and consumers say it really wrings the extra water out which means less time in the dryer. Though this isn't a super fancy model with loads of settings, it does have some nice features like a "favorites" setting and a delayed start function. Best of all, this is an inexpensive washer. If you're watching the budget, this washing machine is priced well.

appreciate reliability
I have thoroughly enjoyed my Fisher and Paykel washing machine. It is very easy to use with customizable controls to ensure your clothes get the level of clean they need. I love that it weighs the clothes so no water is wasted (love saving money on the water bill!) and the spin cycle gets clothes almost dry (especially fleece and towels). It also is very large and able to hold plenty of towels or other bulky items (even has a heavy duty wash setting!).
practical, researcher
I almost purchased an LG which is one of the most popular brands but we had a space issue and instead purchased the Fisher and Paykel. The machine is less expensive than the LG and better and is a top loader which makes it easier on the back. There are few machines with this power and capacity in this small footprint which makes it great for urban laundry closets. There are so many features on the machine but it is not hard to learn to use.

practical, a green thumb, value conscious, stay-at-home mom, looking for durability, too busy to make beds, budget conscious, a comparison shopper
After much research we decided to get a front loader. Figured we'd bite the bullet, but when we walked into the Sears Outlet store and saw this Fisher & Paykel i fell in love just with the look, not to mention the price and the features.
This washing machine is about as close to a front loader as you can get without the price tag nor the special detergent. I love the features, the delicate cycle is truly delicate and the heavy duty really puts some "elbow grease" into the cycle.
One of my favorite features is the Time Save option on the wash. This way, the wash is done in less time, but with same...

too busy to make beds
This is a great and inexpensive item. It has a large wash bun for lots of clothes. Many different settings to choose from also. I would really like to have a front load washer because I am short and it is hard to get all the clothes out sometimes. Other than that it is a great buy and it shouldn't disapoint you.
too busy to make beds
I had a front loader that I loved. But we sold that set with the house, so we needed a new set. Our laundry room set-up would have meant that front-loading washer and dryer doors would open into each other.
At first I was leary of going back to a top-loading washer, because my front-loader spun the clothes out so well. But we bought the top of the line and it has no agitating cone. This way, I can cram it full of clothes. It spins the clothes out just as good as the front-loader.
We bought the matching top-loading dryer, and the pair is awsome!

I did a lot of comparisons before I bought my Fischer & Paykel washing machine. It was one of the more expensive machines at the outset, but the promised savings in electricity and water led me to buy it. I've had the machine about 4 months and I LOVE it. Yes, it sounds a little like an airplane taking off when it goes into the spin cycle, but by golly when it's done, the clothes are barely damp---making the time they spend in the dryer 30m or less. It's also as advertised when it comes to water use. My monthly water bill has been a little smaller than it used to be--the only variable...

not very handy
I have had my washer for 6 months and I love it. The settings are very easy to follow and great choices and energy saving. I would recommend this product to anyone interested in Fisher Paykel products. The warrenty is also good on this product. You can get great information from the Fisher Paykel website. Directions are easy to follow and you can set the amount of water you want to use. Auto setting which senses the amount of clothes you have in the load is an energy efficient savings to the consumer.
neat freak
We bought this a couple of years ago and have had great results. We appreciate the Energy Star value. It uses very little water. I prefer the top load style, so this is a great compromise. Energy efficient but traditional style. (ie. not front loading) It takes a long time to do a load, but it spins so much water out of it that you can shorten the drying time (saving money and energy again, so it's really a plus in the end).
appreciate reliability
There is not a bad thing I could say about this wahing machine. It runs well, cleans clothes better than any other washer I've had and it is not very loud. I would give this 10 stars if I could. And you have to love the fact that it is eco friendly.
