Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing Reviews

Initially I had hoped to avoid buying a swing since we were on a budget and cramped for space, but our daughter's reflux threw a kink in our plans.  The swing helped soothe her until we got the GERD under control, and also allowed her to rest upright instead of on her back.  This swing was the only place besides my arms that seemed to allow her to relax.

THE GOOD: This was very easy to put together! Everything just snapped in place and then there are screws for safety in case the snap-system fails. Awesome. Simple. Great! I used this many times to be able to wash dishes, make dinner, or just to nap when I was spent! As a single mom in the military, it was a God-send! I lived in a small apartment, so space was an issue. Press a couple "buttons," and the legs moved together to fit perfectly in between a bookcase and the wall. Switching from side to side and forward/backward swinging is a push of a button, and a great idea. My daughter loved both,...

We received this swing as a present when my son was born. It has 7 different speed settings, 4 different music choices, and 3 ways to combine the music, lights, and fish that go around the light. Also, it can swing side-to-side or front-to-back, which was a very nice option on the days our son didn't want to look at the TV, or just felt like another view. He was simply entranced by the lights and fish when he was a newborn, and as he grew into it, he started trying to bat at the fishes that were out of his reach.

When we first registered for this swing, we liked it because the swing would go in both directions, but we had no idea how important a feature that would be.

I didn't know this, but some babies like to go side to side and some babies like to go back and forth. My son only wanted to go side to side. Most baby swings only go back and forth, he hated those when he was a baby, as he got older, he was ok with back and forth, but not at first. I am happy to report that my Fisher Price Aquarium cradle swing is still going for the 2nd time around.  I had purchased this swing for my 3rd baby and really wanted a swing that could go back and forth as well as side to side.  I was very lucky to find this product on clearance for around $60, I think the original retail was closer to $100.  I brought the product home and it was very easy to assemble.  But once it was assembled with batteries and all it would not work. The motor was making sound but it sounded as if it was struggling to even turn on.  The music worked but the swing did not...

My mom bought us the Fisher Price Ocean Wonders swing as a shower gift.  It was not the swing I had registered for, but we loved it.  We had registered for a pretty swing that would blend in better with our living room, but now I realize that would not have been very interesting for baby.

I have had the Aquarium Cradle swing for 3 years now.  It did wonders for my first child when she was born and now still working its magic for my new baby boy!   Not to mention, it still hold my 3 year old who is well above 30 lbs.  It works in 2 directions side ways and front back motions.  Both my kids love to sleep in it..  I just put them there whenver I needed to get some house work done or whatever!!!   It plays music and has lights to keep them interested... it also has a table to put some food for them on it too... I first used it as a high chair when I started to introduce my baby...

I recieved this as a shower gift and loved it.  It's so portable that you can just move baby around the house with you and you go about your day.  Plus it's so compact that it fits almost anywhere, even in the bathroom while your taking a shower.  I also like that it folds up so you can store it away somewhere but have it close by when you need it.  My daughter spent a lot of time in this in her first few months so  I could take care of her older brother and it was a life saver.
