I tried two others that bombed out in THREE MONTHS EACH!

After three years the Fisher Price is still standing...at about $35 that is saying something. I had two others that were highly rated at Target.com's website and they both DIED after about two months of use. They were not a bargain...especially since I got hasseled about returning the second! I walked back to the baby section at my local target - clutching my credit and saw this monitor on SALE. Hmmm, I have very little money right now on maternity leave...so... And it worked great! I hear every little thing! And three years later, still working. My brother and his wife got one too. They also love it! They bought the same brand, looks a bit different, in 2008.
