Space Saver Highchair Doesn't Fit in All Chairs

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I bought this highchair to use when our granddaughter comes to visit. My daughter has one just like it and she raves about it. Overall I am pretty happy with it, but there is one major issue I wanted to warn potential buyers about.

First, it is a miniature highchair, meaning it does not have legs, but rather it sits on a chair. It has a snap on tray, a really nice cloth cover, even a rubber mat that fits into the tray! This makes cleaning up much easier, just remove the mat and wash it in the sink.

I put it together and I had to have my husbands help in getting the back onto the base. It snaps in very firmly, and once it is in place it cannot be removed. There are two straps that s...

Fits right into our townhouse, already filled with baby items!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

When registering for baby items while pregnant, I did research on the best high chair for my needs. My husband and I live in a townhouse, with not a ton of extra room for all the baby items we were told we "had to have" to be the best parents according to everyone and their mother. We can't afford the most expensive highchair, nor do I feel that the most expensive chair is the best for our family. When I learned about the Fisher Price Highchair, I was impressed. My first thought was, I don't need to find room for a whole additional "chair" in my cramped dining room. Being a family of 3, I had the extra chair to use solely as a highchair for my daughter. I have found this very practical and l...

A great inexpensive high chair for small spaces

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

When looking for a high-chair for my child, I was intending to buy a regular (tall) high chair but stumbled across the space-saver chair. It was much cheaper than even the cheapest tall high chairs and came recommended by several people I know. I loved the idea of a high chair/booster that attached to a regular dining room chair. So far, we really love this chair! The entire chair height adjusts up and down, the seat holding baby has three positions (one that is perfect for infants who aren't quite sitting on their own), and the tray itself has several positions. The child is buckled in with a 5-point harness and the seat pad is a plastic/vinyl type material. I also want to add that this cha...

This Fisher Price Space Saver highchair does what it says!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We purchased this high chair for our 6 month old son at Thanksgiving time.  We were looking for something that didn't take up a ton of space, and wouldn't ruin our dining room table that we inherited from my Grandmother.  My husband was set on one of those chairs you clamp onto the table, but I really wasn't too keen on that idea, since it just doesn't seem very table friendly.  I was afraid that our son would scratch the table or something by banging his sliverware, etc.  I really wanted something that had it's own tray, but we really don't have room for a freestanding high chair.  I came across this one from a friend's recommendation and I have to say, it is absolu...

We got our son the Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair for him for Christmas and it is exactly what we needed.  We have a pub height table so other high chairs were not high enough to work with our table.  This allows our son to be at a height that he can be a part of family dinners at the table.  We also have a small space and this doesn't take up any extra room.  I also like that it can be converted to a booster seat as he gets older.  The cover is easily wiped clean.  The tray can be put on or removed with one hand which is a nice feature with a wiggly baby.  I like that the chair has three recline positions so that when he was little and not sitting by himself we could still put him in there to have family dinners and as he gets older we are able to sit him up more.  He likes to sit in his chair while we make dinner and the tray is large enough that we can put a few toys on it for him to keep him occupied.

Wow Wow Wow!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I love our Fisher-Price Space Saver high chair. I live in an apartment and we have a small 4 person table squeezed into our kitchen. With 2 kids in highchairs I needed something more compact than our old high chair. I was hesitant about getting a highchair that straps onto a regular kitchen chair. I had a fear of the kids tipping over and falling. The highchair has 2 very strong straps that buckle together onto the dining chair and can be adjusted to fit the chair tightly. I have never had a problem with falls. It saves us a lot of space because there are no legs sticking out all over the place. I like it because it grows with the child as well. For infants the chair will tilt all the way ba...

Fisher Price Space Saver highchair/booster

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

This highchair is easy to use.  It has a removable cover that you can throw in the wash when they mess it up.  Or you can just wipe it down with a cloth.  The seat can also be used without the cover.  The cover and back are removable to be able to turn into a booster seat.  The seat reclines so that baby can learn to tip cup or drink from a bottle reclined.  The colors are neutral to match any kitchen.  There are no legs so it does not take up much space.  You just place it on an existing chair and strap it down.  Or for movie night it can be on the living room floor to join the older members of the family.  I have a 26month old who can sit i...

Great if space is an issue

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

We registered for the space saver high chair 2 and a half years ago for our first born. We were able to use the recline feature and use it before she was able to sit up on her own.

I particularly like the fact that it does not take up alot of room, we owned a condo before we bought our current home and kitchen space was an issue.

The fabric wipes off messes very easily, and the fabric part removes easily for washing the plastic part of the chair. The fabric says do not machine wash, but I threw it in the machine with no problems.

We have yet to convert it into a booster because my daughter prefers having a tray, so I am unable to review that function yet.

The tray removes easily, and is dishwasher safe. There are two cup holders on the tray, which is pretty standard for a highchair.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this product, and would recommend it to other parents and grandparents.

Awesome to help baby be part of the family at dinner!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We love this seat.  We have had the seat set up since baby was just a few weeks old.  She has become a part of our evening family cooking by having her chair to sit in to watch!

It reclines so it is handy for the baby even as a newborn to be comfortable.  The tray is removable and the arms adjustable so that they tray is always level even with the seat reclined.  The seat is very easy to clean up, too.

I am so glad we did not get a traditional high chair as this one has so many positives:

Handy

Takes up less space

Uses chairs we have that we don't use

Pull her right up to table with our counter height chairs

Easy to clean

Reclines

Tray adjusts to stay level even when reclined

Excellent quality for a wonderful price!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

When I got pregnant shortly after getting married, we needed ANYTHING space saving for our small apartment. My sister got this for us at our shower and we LOVE it! It is super easy to clean-the seat can be wiped easily and I just throw the top part in the dishwasher a couple times a week and wipe it the other times. We have moved to a larger townhouse, and we are still loving this high chair. Our son is 26 months old and 24 pounds, and still fits well into the seat, though on a looser setting for comfort. He loves to sit like a big man in his seat at the end of our table. He easily climbs in and out of the seat, and sometimes that is how he tells me he is hungry!

We also love the convenience of being able to clean it and pack it up for grandma's house! I would definitely recommend this high chair, I can't imagine our lives without it! I see big and bulky high chairs and I really just don't see the point-this has everything and it is at an excellent price!

The space saver high chair is perfect if you don't have room

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This Space Saver High Chair from Fisher Price was perfect for us due to the fact that we lived in a one bedroom apartment when our daughter was born. Its adjustable straps secure it to any dinning room chair you have strapping it underneath the chair and around the back of the chair allowing you to tighten it so it won't move. It can also be easily removed and placed on the floor where your child can sit to eat a snack while watching a show. When I saw this highchair I had no second choice due to the space limitation's we were faced with. It is great because there isn't a highchair to get in your way you can just push the chair up to the table and it is as if it wasn't even there. The highch...

The Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair is great for small homes

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair is the best alternative for a small dining room. We love that we don't have another piece of furniture to cram into our dining room. We were looking for a versatile high chair for our son, like we had from Fisher-Price for our daughter 12 years ago. After searching for quite some time we came across the Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair. Not only is it reasonably priced, but it allows us to do without the bulky piece of equipment that gets outgrown so quickly. We love that the seat reclines for newborn and handles up through the toddler stage. The removable back and adjustable height makes this a very versatile chair. The leg seperator, while it seem...

Great for tall tables/chairs

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We bought this high chair because we have counter height tables and chairs. A regular high chair would be too low. After buying it, I would never pay more for a full size high chair. This is great because not only is it a reclining high chair, it is a booster seat. We used it from 3 months (before my daughter was even eating solids) until she was big enough to sit at the table without a booster. My one and only complaint is that the tray says dishwasher safe but it is so big, it would take up more than half of the bottom of our dishwasher. Not a big deal though since it is easy to wipe clean by hand. We also had to take the arms off when we converted it to a booster since it would not push under the table and DD would be too far to eat. It was only a matter of 3 screws per arm. Pretty simple. I would definitely recommend this to anyone not just those looking to "save space".

Durable - great option for high tables

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

We have had this seat for about three years now.  It has transitioned from baby number one to baby number two with no problems.  This is fairly easy to clean.  One bonus with this chair is the five point harness.  It helps keeps your child safely in their seat.  The conversion to booster type of seat is fairly easy.  The hardest part is removing the straps.  Unfortunately, we lost one of the shoulder straps, but it is still working well even missing one.  We have a high table, so a conventional high chair was not an option.  This has filled in the gap very nicely.  The tilt on it is fairly easy to use, the tray is easy to get on and off.  The straps are easy to snap and to undo.  Overall, this is a good value for the money.  It is not the prettiest high chair around, but it does the job nicely and has been quite durable.

Fisher Price Space Saver High Chair is the way to go!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The Fisher Price Space Saver High Chair is the way to go! I have a three year old boy and a twelve month old boy with a small dinning room. My three year old is still in a booster seat at the table and my twelve month old son is still in a high chair. We are a family of four with a dog and a very small dinning room that wouldn't allow for us to have a regular high chair. We have been using the fisher price space saver high chair since my son has come home from the hospital. The chair reclines so much that my son even slept in it for a while due to a cold and reflux. Fisher Price also has a great customer service and had no problem helping us when the seat cover tore. Since the product wasn't even a year old yet they quickly shipped us out a new cover for the seat no questions asked. I have never seen a tray for a high chair adjust the way this tray does.  I know my son will be using it for many years!
