If I had do it over again, I'd buy a different monitor.

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I bought a Fisher Price Sounds and Lights Baby Monitor for our second baby.  Quite frankly, I lost one component of our baby monitor for our first baby and I figured that I could use a baby monitor to be outside with my toddler while the baby was asleep.  The first reason I picked the Fisher Price Sounds and Lights Baby Monitor is that it takes batteries meaning that it was portable outside while my oldest plays in the yard, I can still listen in on the little one.  The monitor has worked for that purpose.  It's nice that there are dual sides where the lights are on.  I will say that I wasn't willing to spend a lot of money on a monitor with how little we used our fi...

The Fisher Price Lights and Sounds Baby Monitor is a decent deal

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

The Fisher Price Lights and Sounds Baby Monitor is a decent deal for the money spent on it. I have used it for one baby so far with another baby on the way now. It has worked well with my first child who is now two years old. The only problem that I have experienced with it is that the connection where the cord meets the monitor is now not working right. I have to move the cord around until I can get it to stay in a position that will work. On the upside, I love that the monitor base has a night light built in. The light is bright enough that I can see my baby when I check on her but not so bright that the light from it bothers her. I also like the lights feature on the monitor. It's a really nice feature for when the tv is up too loud or I'm using the vacuum and can't hear the baby monitor that well. I can always look over at the monitor to see if the lights are moving up and down, indicating that my baby is making noises.

the Sound 'n Lights monitor has been so useful in our house!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

My husband and I purchased the Fisher Price Sound 'N Lights Monitor set before our first baby arrived. We didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars, but also wanted to be sure that the monitor and receiver would work well enough throughout the entire house and even out into the yard. This monitor set has worked wonderfully for us and I have come to love the lights on the monitors that provide feedback when our son is waking up! When we lay him down and he is talking to himself we can turn the volume down but still see the lights and know that he is still awake. I can also see the lights across the yard so that if I can't hear the monitor I can still see if he is awake. The monitors also have wall chargers that all the monitor to be on or off while charging. I love the fact that I can walk around the house or yard with my monitor without having to worry about it being plugged in somewhere. It's lightweight and easy to use! I hightly recommend this product.

Fisher Price Sounds n' Lights Monitor isn't worth the big ticket

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

I asked for the Fisher Price Sounds n' Lights monitor on my baby shower registry and i was so excited that I received it. Made by a brand that i trust I thought it was going to be well worth the $50 (give or take) price. I started using the monitor in December, when my daughter was born. i noticed alot of static and out side noises coming through the monitor, regardless of what "channel" I had it set on. I tried to move the monitor in different places to minimize the disturbances, but no luck. Eight months after my daughter was born and using the Fisher Price Sounds n' Lights Monitor, the speakers in the one handset blew out. So now i only have one handset to transfer between all the rooms in my home. I picked this monitor because of the 2 hanset conveinance, the claim of it being clear, less static and it was by a brand i trusted. Sadly, now, knowing that it does not work as well as it claims, I would have picked a less expensive one. It surely would have worked better than this.

Sounds and Lights monitor is the best for the price

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

This monitor is wonderful for the price. We bought the expensive Summer Infant Day & Night Handheld Color Video Monitor for my daughter when she was born. It had so much interference that we needed a second monitor for sound at night. I was not able to sleep because it made so much noise. We bought this monitor the **Fisher Price Sounds and Lights Monitor. This monitor was only twenty dollars and Walmart and is so great. **

**It is inexpensive but it works just as great as the two hundred dollar monitor. The only difference is you can see the baby on the more expensive one. There is no intereference with this one. The indicator lights are bright and accurate. ** This monitor comes with a night light. Which is wonderful for those middle of the night feedings. When you do not want to turn on a light but you need to be able to see. It is great because it is not too bright but enough so that you can see the baby. I would buy this again for sure.

It does everything I wanted a monitor to do.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I don't know why this monitor has received such mediocre reviews on this site.  I have been using mine for 10 months now and haven't had any problems with it yet.

The **Fisher Price Sounds and Lights Monitor **comes with two receivers and one base for the baby's room.  I put one receiver in my bedroom and the other in the living room for when I was watching tv and might not hear the one in my bedroom.  The "lights" aspect of this monitor are great.  When your baby is making noise, you will see a cascade of lights light up.  The more noise your baby is making, the more lights that light up.  It is very helpful if you have the volume turned down be...

Can't sleep over the static

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

I purchased this monitor while I was still pregnant. We had a very tight budget in which we could use towards baby stuff and I thought we would need a monitor. It was very easy to set up and the price tag was perfect but I hate it. I wish I had saved the packaging because if I had, I would have been able to return it and put the $25 towards a different, better quality monitor. The microphone is great. So good in fact that I can hear when the cats walk past his closed door but I can't sleep over all the static. After using it only twice it has now just because a night light for us. We live in a well-laid out apartment so I can hear him moving around or fussing without a monitor anyway. Don't waste your money like we did or keep the package and receipt so you can return it for something else.

If you want all static and nothing else, then this is for you.

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

After having our second child, and in a much bigger house this time around, we decided we needed to invest in a baby monitor.  I bought this one, because the price was right, but once I brought it home, I realized why it was so cheap.  All we could ever get on it was static, that or the neighbor's (they have a baby monitor), or the radio.  I tried both channels, I tried putting the monitor and receiver in different areas of the house, nothing worked.  I finally packed up back up and returned them--they were not worth the hassle.  It has been much easier to not have a baby monitor, then to try to listen over the static and noise for your baby's cry. This is definitely not worth buying, invest in a different brand, but not this one.

The only wipes I buy!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I love love love these wipes!  They are a little pricey, but you use less of them, so it all works out in the end.  The pampers wipes are too thin, and I feel like I get poo all over my hand, but with the huggies, they are like washcloths!  I use them to wipe down the highchair, and other things as well.  They are so durable, and I get huggies coupons in the mail rather frequently, so I use them to buy the wipes.  After the coupon, they are just a little bit more expensive than the store brand.  The different scents available are great!  I like the one that's mango.  Doesn't smell like baby powder.

don't waste your money or time.

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

This is the most horrid monitor I have ever come across. Not only did it break within 1 week, before that, all it did was make static noise. I called the fisher price hotline, and they were extremely nice, wanting to replace anything they could. Long story short, they ended up sending out about 6 different parts, 6 different times. This process took about 2 months. After all this, the monitor still made static noise, and some of the parts were actually broken in the boxes when they arrived. I finally just sent everything back to them, and they sent me a gift certificate for a replacement. We bought a toy with that. I would not recommend this monitor to anyone who likes peace of mind or a good night's sleep. Fisher price has an excellent customer service team, but they should just stick to what they are good at, toys.

This monitor is decent for the price you pay!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

We bought this monitor when we needed a second monitor for third child's room.  It was very affordable and we haven't had too many problems with it.

The cord that attaches to the parent unit (the part where you hear anything going on in the room) seems to not always stay attached very well.  It seems very sensitive, so several times if we knock it, we will lost the signal and then you have to go play around with the cord until it comes through again.  It can get annoying, but as long as it stays still, it seems to have no problems.

When the cord is acting properly, the monitor acts great!  The sound is very clear and we have never had any problems with the channels.&nbs...

A Very Basic Monitor, But it Works Great!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I originally had planned to buy a much more expensive baby monitor, but was given this one by my in-laws who planned to use when they had their other grandson sleeping over but didn't since he insists on sleeping in their room :) They had purchased it for around $20 new. We currently are using this monitor at night while our son sleeps in his own room, which is about 75 feet away. The sound on the monitor is CRYSTAL clear, I am really impressed with the quality! Even with a sound machine and ceiling fan running in our son's room, I can still hear him moving around in his crib (even if he isn't crying/making noise!) I can turn down the volume really low and the sounds are still very clear. I ...

Lights and Sounds to know what baby is up to!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

The Fisher Price Light and Sounds monitor works great.  It was easy to set up - you just need 4 aa batteries and you are set.  It comes with a base for the baby's room that has a built in night light that is great.  It also comes with two receivers.  They are ac adaptable or battery operated.  Either way the sound is good.  The lights are interesting, but you have to be awake to see them.   A down side to the monitor is the amount of light the receivers put off when in use in your bedroom at night.  My husband complains about how bright the lights are.  They are a little annoying.  I guess that is the price you pay to know how the baby is doing across the house!

A wonderfully relieving unit for my wife.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Good sturdy product that helped ease the worries that my wife has when it is time to sleep, whenever we are afforded that luxury. It is a great gift to yourself whenever you can give yourself a sense of comfort and safety. Without this my wife would be unable to sleep soundly. It works well as you can even hear your infant breathing or even mumbling to him/herself. Plus when the kids get older they can use them as walkie-talkies. Maybe even for communication with your spouse while in different areas of the home -- we haven't used it in this manner but it should work fine. We'll try it out and update our review later.
