We got this monitor for our new baby, and it's amazing the things you can hear on it.  I like the fact that we can plug it in next to our bed, and we can hear everything.  If he moves his leg, we can hear the fabric ruffle.  Any little cough or noise, even the dog walking in his room, we can hear.  We turn it down pretty low, but we can still hear everything.  I like being able to clip it to my pants if I need to do something outside, and it's range is far enough for me to go to the end of the driveway and still hear him.  Occasionally, we do hear static, but when repositioned, it goes away.
