My now 19 month old received this chair as a first birthday gift. He actually stopped opening gifts to sit and play with this! Its been great fun ever since! This toy works well during quiet time play, as it isn't too loud an encourages reading. My little guy likes to pull a book from the shelf, sit in his chair and "read" his book.

I only ever had one downfall - I had to make sure the toy was turned off before going to bed. My cat liked to sleep in the chair at night. However, when she would climb into the seat, music would start to play -- "When you're up you're up and when you're down you're down...." Needless to say, everyone in the house would wake up startled!! But it was easily solved.

A great toy! One I would definitely recommend!!
