We got this for my son when he was about 9 months old.  He played with it for a long, long time.  At first he just liked the balls, but once he figured out how to put the balls into the dinosaur, he was off and running.  I didn't mind the music and sounds, they weren't as annoying as other toys.  This toy was a kid magnet, when other kids came over they all wanted to play with it.  I highly recommend this toy.
