I bought this swing thinking it would help our boy sleep but it was so not worth it. We ended up returning the swing. When we first say it we liked how cute the design was and thought that it would serve a good purpose but we were wrong. the swing was quite expensive. It cost the same as the stroller system that we bought. I think we just used the swing once and then returned. Our little boy looked so tiny in the thing and I think that being swung like that really scared him. Other things that we didn't like about this swing is that if our son did like the swing he would have outgrown it too fast. It didn't seem like this swing was built for a big baby. Also we didn't like how the mobile's animals were so colorful. The first month of a baby's life he seems mostly contrasting things like black and white. Those animals wouldn't have served any purpose for him. Also the swing ran on batteries. This is a terrible idea because we would have run through so many batteries. We are glad we returned this item because it wasn't worth the money.

The Fisher-Price Precious Planet Cradle Swing can do no wrong in my eyes. This swing absolutely mesmerizes my newborn. It is great because it is a unisex swing and the colors are eye catching. The mobile keeps my baby entranced for hours and she loves the comfort, bright colors, and music of this swing that when I go to take her out of the swing she cries. I like the melodies the swing plays as does my child. The two way rocking motion is a plus because it gives you options. The Swing is worth the money that it costs. To see your baby this happy you can not go wrong. The swing is very easy to use and the design is just great. It's nice how you can choose the speed of the swing and the straps let you know that your child is secure in the swing. I have a portable swing that I love, however, the Fisher-Price Precious Planet Cradle Swing has to be my top choice. Please purchase this...your baby will appreciate it more that you'll ever know!

My child loved her swing.  It was colorful and kept her attention.  It put her to sleep many many times.  She loved the colors and sounds and reached for the animals above her.  The seat would pivot to give her a different view point and I was able to adjust the volume and speed on the swing.  My only complaint is that we used lots and lots of batteries to run the swing.  They would last maybe a week before the swing would begin to slow down and quit playing music.  This is probably an issue with all swings though and they should have one that plugs in!  Overall this is a good swing.  We had the matching jumperoo and bouncy seat and she loved all of them.  The swing was affordable and did the job of putting her to sleep or entertaining her.  She would probably still swing in it if I let her but she has gotten too big!  Enjoyed this swing very much and all the matching equipment that Fisher Price makes.

My husband picked this up for me after we brought home our youngest.  She was a micro-premie and with four other kids running around, I wanted something that would enable me to keep an eye on her while I was cooking, while at the same time get her up off the floor and out of a baby cradle/playpen where little ones can drop (I mean give) her toys on her. It has a wonderful rocking motion.  She was so tiny and still I felt she was safe in the swing.  She could easily look around and was very content to rock away in it.   The ease of use was terrific.  It's open design enables you to easily get your child in and out of it.  The music doesn't get on "big" people nerves like some baby toys with music that can grate.  Easy to clean.  Every parent knows the importance of having baby/children toys that can plug in and not just rely on batteries.  I used this swing so much that I would of had to have stock in the battery companies to keep it going if it hadn't come with a power cord.  I would highly recommend this swing to new moms.

We absolutely loved this swing, as did my son. It lasted quite a while, too. The little music is adorable, it runs on batteries, so you don't have to stretch out a big long power cord. It is very comfortable, and swings both side to side and front to back. The theme is very cute. Precious Planet. It has the cutest little animals. It is very easy to transport and not too bulky. The swing will either swing fast or slow, not just one speed setting. It is easy to story in a closet, because the legs fold up and make it more compact. It is easy to clean because the precious planet padding comes off and the rest you can just wipe down. My son used this swing from the time he was born until he was 7 months old. It always put him to sleep, it was one of his favorite places to be when he was a baby. This is a great swing and I would definitely recommend it to my family, co-workers, friends, etc. Great swing!

My son used the Fisher-Price Precious Planet Cradle Swing. With a toddler already in the house, this swing saved us! He loved this swing, it was entertaining when he was awake, and put him asleep quickly. And since it moves both ways, it saved on space, and saved on having to reposition the whole swing so I could see him. The swing was able to hold him and still work very well up until he was a year old, and I have bigger than average kids. It was much better than most the other swings I had tried with my first child, and I highly recommend it to anyone with a baby!

I bought this product because I had a Fisher Price swing for my daughter and loved it.  I started using it when my son was 3 weeks old.  For about a week it worked fine, but then it stopped swinging.  I changed the batteries, but that didn't help.  The sounds and mobile were both working fine and I could her the clicking of the motor.  I called FP and they replaced the motor, the same thing happened again.  Again it was replaced and again it would not work.  instead of replacing it they are sending me my money back.  Not a great product, but great customer service.

Fisher-Price Precious Planet Cradle Swing was my babys favorite place to sleep day in and day out.  When he would act up, we could place him in the swing and it always seemed to soothe him.  The two different swing motions, head-to-toe and side-to-side, was great for the different moods my son was in. He preferred the head-to-toe swing, but would get fussy until we switched it side-to-side sometimes. When he was feeling tired and fighting sleeping, we would turn on the six soothing melodies. When he was wide awake but tired of his toys or belly time, we would put him in the swing with the six entertaining melodies. He loved to look up at the mobile with the entertaining music and ofter coo.  The ac adapter helped us on saving money and not having to replace the batteries all the time because we used it so much. With my baby being slight colic, I would not of been able to survive with out this swing!

My baby loved this swing she loved going both ways. She loved the lights and sounds. It was a life saver when she hit her fussy time, and when she got collic. I was sad the day she out grew it. My friends baby uses it now and they love it to.

I have to admit, I am a bit on the fence concerning the Fisher Price Precious Plant Cradle Swing. When this swing was working, it was great. You can change it to swing in different directions and it has a great set of music and sounds. It is colorful and fun, and I would often catch my infant daughter staring up at the animals hanging above. The really caught her attention. Additionally, the volume control is great and it had a good range of speeds. However, after a few months, the swing stopped working properly. There was a clicking sound, almost as if one of the gears was slipping or not catching and it was swinging out of time. It would eventually slow down and almost stop swinging completely. We thought at first it was just the batteries. The swing does use a lot of batteries and uses them up quickly. Even after changing the batteries, though, the swing continued to swing improperly. Unfortuantely, this was the way our baby slept for naps, but we eventually got so annoyed with it, we got rid of it. If I were spending money on a new swing, I would probably not trust this swing but invest in another one.
