Fisher Price Precious Planet Cradle Swing Reviews

We just recently purchased the Precious Planet Cradle and Swing manufactured by Fisher Price.  A friend of ours had recommended it when we mentioned how fussy our four month old daughter has been during the day.  We ran out and bought it immediately and have really been thrilled with it so far.  It's cute and colorful, it has  various levels of volume and speed control, it swings in two different directions (side to side and head to toe), it has a motorized mobile, and it plays a variety of music (both soothing and more upbeat tunes) and it also has oceanic sounds.  It also has the capability...

DO NOT BUY THE FISHER PRICE CRADLE SWING!!!!!! After only two weeks it stoped swinging. It won't even push start.The cheaper swings work better. If you want a decent swing get a graco. My 2 year old still sits in hers and its strong enough to still rock her to sleep.

We just had our third baby and our old Fisher Price Ocean Wonders cradle swing stopped swinging after 5 years and the first two babies.  I loved that swing so much I purchased a new FP Precious Planet cradle swing.  First, after owning an older model, I was disappointed that the seat was only half what the old one was.  The whole top half of the swing us fabric, like you would see on a bouncy seat.  It was disappointing for me at first, but it didn't change the way the swing worked.  One thing I like better is that this new swing lays almost flat and there are some nice features the old models...

as soon as i saw the precious planet set i knew i had to have it for my newest addition. i bought the swing and its great except it runs on batteries and even with my 15 lb 6 month old the swing barely moves! its cute and all but it hardly does any "swinging" at all!  the mobile is cute and the swing itself is super attractive but as an experienced mom i know there are better swings out there that actually work. i wish i had gone for a swing that was less adorable and more dependable and plugged in. trust me on this a swing that plugs in is way better than one that runs on batteries!

When I put my son in it at a friends house and he loved it.  The fact that you can have it swing sideways or back and forth is just great, and that it has multiple speeds.  I also has a music option or a white noise option with adjustable volume.  The mobile also is electronic and my son loves watching the sea creatures move around.  Very handy if your baby is having trouble sleeping.
