great reward system

5

Potty training is already difficult. I was debating between a Minnie Mouse potty or this one. I went with this one because of the reward it provides. My daughter is 20 months, she is showing an interest but isn't quite ready for potty training. Maybe it is me. My daughter has figured out how to take the potty apart and play this music. so hopefully when it comes to really using the potty we can make it work! Making the music play is a great reward and incentive, especially for my daughter who loves anything to do with music and dancing. When she hears the music she will say "yay" and clap for herself. It works great as a step stool too, so she can stand up and wash her hands also. Looking forward to using it more and tackling the next big milestone for a toddler, potty training. I hope they make something like this for boys also! I think this potty works better than bribery because the music is the bribery.

A throne fit for my little princess!

Potty training is already as difficult enough as it is, so any tool is a great help while trying to potty train your little one. I purchased the Fisher-Price Pink Princess Stepstool Potty in Pink so that my little one would be excited about using the bathroom, and it definitely worked! The first time she saw it, she screamed and ran up to it, and the proceeded to carry it to the living room where she used it as a seat. My daughters favorite part about his potty is that it plays music, which she gets to hear after she successfully uses the bathroom. It has been a great help during the whole potty training process, and it is even a help for me! The top folds down so it can be used as a stool and grown ups under the weight of 200 pounds can use it as a stepping stool too! This seat is a little expensive when purchased in stores, but I found out it was cheaper directly through them so I would try to buy it from there first. My daughter also uses this as a stepping stool to brush her teeth everyday. I would consider this a must for anyone with a little princess in their house!

We originally have a potty that sits over the toilet, because I didn't want to have to clean the potty after each use. But that didn't work as my daughter was afraid of sitting that high. So I needed to find a small size potty. As with most little girls, my daughter is obsessed with princesses, and ended up choosing this one as it plays music once you go. Mind you, it only plays music when they go number one, not number two. All in all, the potty is helpful, but it's just a tool for them to use the potty, not so much as training them wanting to go. Most people say when your kid is ready, then it'll be easier. Versus when they're not ready, potty training can take a long time. Now that my daughter is using the bigger potty, we use the princess potty as a step stool which is perfect. I love multi-use products. I gave it an 8 because it is useful, but it isn't entirely a reliant tool with encouraging them to go.

Great Little Pink Princess Potty!!!

My daughter loved this childs toilet because every time she went it would play music. It also was a great stepping stool for my daughter when she needed to brush her teeth and wash her hands. As she got older and started using the adult toilet she then used her little toilet only as a step stool to get on the adult toilet. The only problem I had with this product is after having it for 4 months it started to play music by itself whether or not my daughter was sitting on it or even in the bathroom. It had kind of scared our family because the first night my daughter had ever woke me up to use the potty we walked to the bathroom door but before we had opened the door to it started to play music and it scared her so bad she ended up soiling herself. If it hadnt starting playing music by itself when no one was in the bathroom I would have gave it a rating of 10. But overall it was a great childs toilet and we just ended up taking the batteries out of it. We did not want to keep cleaning urine off our tile floors.

Did not like this, thought it was a toy rather than a potty.

My daughter got this "fancy" potty for her christmas gift last year when she was first beginning to potty train. She loved to play with it, which was fine at first because we were just trying to get her used to the toilet. As time went on, and potty training became more serious business in our home, this toilet became trouble. She would tear the parts out, just to play with it and hear the sounds. She does much better with a plain potty. She also would drag it all over the house to use the step stool function, going to places she didn't belong. I must be in the minority here but we didn't enjoy this potty.

My 2.5 year old is still using this potty chair as we are in the middle of potty training. It's easy to clean, somewhat portable and my daughter loves it. We've used the seat on the regular toilet and it fits better than a potty seat we bought just for that use (but obviously, that depends on the seat you already have on your toilet). She's also used it as a stepstool without a problem. The only issue we've ever had with it was one random night when it started singing to us from the bathroom. The sensors weren't wet or anything. We just turned it off and the next day it worked perfectly again.

Fisher-Price Pink Princess Stepstool Potty in Pink is wonderful!

My princess has been potty training for 6 days now, and we have had no problems. The fact that it sings a song with a tinkle is done is what keeps her from having accidents! I look forward to the day when it only becomes a step stool, and at the rate we are at will be in no time at all!

Okay potty, would not buy again

This toilet is just okay. The concept is that when the child uses the toilet, it will trigger the buttons on the bottom to play a song. However, my daughter found out that if she takes the tray out and manually presses the buttons herself it will play the song. So she has spent more time playing in the toilet then actually using it for what it was intended for. Because of this, she now does not want to go "poopy" in the potty because it would dirty it. The buttons on the bottom are touchy though and they will not always play a song. The toilet itself is very cute and perfect for any little girl and I like that the lid can fold down and make a stepping stool as well. It is also nice that you can take the white part out and set it on a real grown-up toilet so the child can go that way as well. That is probably what we will end up doing and now we already have that part. The lid is also very easy for a child to lift up and down.

Fisher Price Princess Potty: Cute Training Device and it Works!

5

Toilet training is a ritual of growing up, and it's an ordeal every parent and child must work through together. A little incentive is helpful and can make a substantial difference in progress. One good incentive is to purchase your toilet training cadet his/her own potty chair. One potty chair that will appeal to many young girls is the **Fisher Price Pink Stepstool Princess Potty**, a cute potty chair for kids.**Potty Chair Commentary: **The Fisher Price Pink Stepstool Princess Potty is a toddler- size potty chair, with a girly theme. This potty chair doesn't have any princess figures or drawings, in spite of its name. But it does have girly colors such as pink, white, and light purple and it rewards little ones when they have a successful trip tot the potty by playing a tune. The tunes are simple, short jingles- not full songs- and they sound off if a child really does go potty in the chair. Fisher Price Pink Stepstool Princess Potty is a great motivational tool to help toilet train kids and it has worked like a royal charm with my little girl. My youngest was struggling, but she now seems to be fully trained and this potty chair deserves a good deal of the credit. The cuteness of the chair, the sound effects, and the fact that my little girl has a chair all her own have combined to help us reach the potty training goal much faster than expected. My little one will quickly run to her princess potty chair, sit down, and try to go, just so she can hear the sounds and enjoy her own, personal space. One other use for this potty chair is as a stepstool. With the lid closed, a child can step on top of the potty chair and reach the sink to wash his/her hands. Kids can also use the stepstool feature to climb up to the regular toilet. This use as a stepstool is a nice, added usage for this product because it helps to slowly wean children off the princess potty and over to the regular toilet.  The Fisher Price Pink Stepstool Princess Potty is a great way to potty train little girls and I can find only a couple of minor faults. The first one is with the music. The jingles are short and simple, but they will sometimes sound off for no reason. A casual bump of the chair will set it off and it will also sound off on its own if there is any remaining moisture in the bowl. So, you have to be sure that you dry out the inside of the bowl as thoroughly as possible. There is an on/off switch too, but if you use that, you need to make sure to turn it back on before your little princess sits down on the potty. Second, a parent needs to be cautious about using the potty as a stepstool. The lid is a little looser than I would prefer and it could cause kids to slip. ** ** **Bottom Line Viewpoint:** Toilet training is a rite of passage and the task is made much simpler when you have some assistance. The Fisher Price Pink Stepstool Princess Potty provides exactly that: A cute little potty chair that helps young princesses learn to use the potty on their own. Yes, it has a couple of minor faults, but when you consider how it encourages children to use the potty, the faults seem meaningless. It adds up to a very good product that certainly helps achieve its intended goal.

Perfect for your potty-training princess!

We love this little princess potty chair and so does our little potty-training princess!  It has been a hit in our house since we brought it home, and has really encouraged our daughter to sit on the potty. Structurally, this seat is comfortable for our daughter to sit on and fits a child well.  We previously bought a cheaper potty chair shaped like a frog, and sitting on it was awkward and uncomfortable for our little one.  My daughter loves to sit on the potty and gets overjoyed when it plays it's 'royal tune'.  The seat is activated to play music when liquid hits the sensor inside the seat.  Unfortunately, my little lady has learned to rig it by touching the sensor with damp hands.  So, we end up with the celebratory music even when she doesn't go potty :)  The princess potty is easy to clean and has three removable parts.  I haven't used the step stool feature of the potty yet, but it is made of durable thick plastic and assume it would hold up well to little feet. Overall a must have for your little princess!
